One of my favourite facts about the saxons is that they were so hated in Europe that there are at least 3 mytho-historical kings that are known to their people as Saxon slayers (Arthur, Siegfried, Charlemagne)
@@johantank5631 Basically the Nibelungenlied is a different version of the Völsungasaga that scrubs most of the godly aspects from it (Brünhild is 'merely' a strong Warrior Queen and not a Valkyrie for example)
@@thiscityisreallylookslikea8340Kinda hoping they add the PHH version at some point. I really want all the prominent figures from Arthurian Legend in FGO. Mostly Guinevere, though. And PHH Morgan. Also, Jesus cause that would be hilarious.
@@thiscityisreallylookslikea8340 "His true identity is not that of a Heroic Spirit from Proper Human History, but a Servant who was born in Faerie Britain. *A doomsday device* that curses the world, born from the legend of destruction spoken of in Faerie Britain, *the Insect of the Abyss* that returns everything back into nothing. The name Oberon comes only from Proper Human History.[1] *The physical embodiment of Faerie Britain's will to destroy itself, as it is a land that was built on the sins of fairies and should not exist.* His name in Faerie Britain is Vortigern. *He shares the same name as the Vile King Vortigern*, who led to Britain's destruction by selling out Britain to different races in Proper Human History.[1]" Straight from Type Moon Fandom. Oberon-Vortigern is neither Oberon, nor Vortigern. He is essentially an Anti-Counter Force designed to destroy the world, and will summon itself in various forms to accomplish that goal, be it King of the Mors that was slain by Woodwose, or his current form that was corrupted by the Welsh Faeries into Oberon (the one from Shakespeare's story rather than the real Oberon) and his Vortigern persona sealed away until Barghest destroyed the Autumn Forest, reawakening his true nature, which is apparent in how shady he starts acting from that point onward (collaborating with Koyanskaya, monologuing to himself, saying passive-aggressive stuff low-key foreshadowing his eventual turn, etc.). He simply shares his name with Vortigern the Vile King from PHH. He is neither of the people he is named after. He is just a force of Fae Britain's malice towards its own existence.
surprised he didnt touch on the vortigern in fgo, considering it isnt really vortigern. touching on it and explaining them and how they arent actually connected may have been a good idea.
I preferred it if Vore man was made his own servant separate from you all know who. I really like the other guy, he’s funny, charming, and charismatic, a failure who does all with a smile. Would have preferred the old man was his same depiction from the novel audio drama as the same old mad tyrant.
Funfact: PHH Vortigern manage to survive and absorb UNSEALED Excalibur and needed Unsealed Rhongominiad with anti mystery to be defeated. Does that mean he is sefar lvl? No Unsealed Excalibur strength depends on how much of a threat its opponent to humanity as the planet is the one that is giving it mana while here its Artoria's mana that is being used to power it. How is it the Unsealed version you ask? When Artoria fought Vortigern The Knights of the roundtable haven't been formed yet and the seal was created when the roundtable is formed.
But Artoria's Excalibur has no Seals, Arthur's does (see his NP lines for example) For Artoria it's Rhongominiad which needs to be unsealed not Excalibur
@@Ultimate0Phantasm Common Sense. Arthur has to release the Seals before he can use Excalibur's True Name Release. Artoria does not have to do that which points to her Excalibur not having the Seals.
@@elecrom_9757 Common sense my ass this why you should read or watch the lore. Artoria and Arthur Excalibur are different and probably the restraints too considering that Arthur restraints seems to be more powerful but you'd be stupid to say Artoria A++ Excalibur has no restraints the same Excalibur who one shot Sefar who ended the age of the gods its COMMON SENSE that Artoria Excalibur has restraints because it is stated to have it and it would make no sense that a mere A++ ended Sefar. Also in some events in fgo she released some restraints.
@@elecrom_9757 Also its stupid that only Rhongominiad have the restraints considering that both it and Excalibur was considered equal and a weaker version of Rhongominiad used by the lion king the holy judgement output surpassed the strongest of NP used by servants by a thousand times including Excalibur which is obviously sealed when used by servant Artoria.
Its a British Kingdom. They were fighting the Saxons. The association of Wales with the Arthurian legend is that the first written resources on it were in Welsh
@@Ghostgaming-hs8jkConsidering it’s a fictional kingdom that’s nearly impossible to say, but considering they were fighting against the Saxons it’s unlikely that they were an Anglo-Saxon kingdom
@@Ghostgaming-hs8jk Ok ill answer for you , We do not know Many places in Britain claim to be where Camelot was Wales is the one most people think of But here where I am from - Cumbria there is local legends that say Camelot was here That Arthur was a Romano-British Warlord, Camelot was the old roman fort of Bird-oswald The lady of the lake showed herself from Talkin Tarn and that upon his death they sailed through the Solway Firth to Avalon (Avalon possibly being the Isle of Mann) Also Wales did not exist back then, Since well it was separate kingdoms that often disagreed with each other at the time they were all just separate Brythonic peoples
