The main villains are always the best characters in any Fargo season. Malvo, Hanzee and Milligan, Varga... they just steal the show XD

Two of the best characters in this show. Never seen anything quite like them before. It's weird to say, but the actors managed to find a way to get the audience to empathize with them. No easy task. Well done.

Hanzee and Mike are interesting contrasts to Lorne Malvo. They are less truly frightening villains than Malvo, but more realistic. They are all interesting, but for different reasons. Malvo is an archetype who is strongly implied to be Satan himself, and very compelling, but as an idea more than a person. Hanzee and Mike are complex antagonists who are recognizably human and fascinating for that reason.

What’s ironic is that Hanzee (now known as Moses Tripoli) is shot to death with an AK-47 by Malvo when he storms through the mob headquarters. Everyone else while storming through the mob headquarters is just collateral damage. Zahn just doesn’t give this spoiler.

There's a theory that Hanzee was a Gerhardt. Otto could have slept with that Native American cook, made her give up Hanzee, and then later adopt him

He said his childhood was rough, like that of many natives, although he was very fortunate to have been too young for the horrifying residential school system that messed up so many natives older than him, such as some that I have met in my area. But I have only heard good things about him as a person.
