I have heard many different versions but none better than this one... My brother David played this for me and my mom for our opinions before he sent it to Jackman music to be published. He passed away last year so it's heart warming to know that his music will live on and continue to touch the hearts of others.
Your brother wrote some of the most inspiring lyrics I’ve ever heard. I love to listen to this hymn and ponder their meaning. I’m sure he had a wonderful reunion with the Savior and fell at his feet and shed many tears of gratitude.
I LOVE this piece!! When looking for an Easter piece for our ward choir, this one practically jumped out of the drawer. I didn’t know it before, but the wonderful music and the inspired words speak to my soul. It’s very moving.

I find it miraculous that this college level choral group, during Covid, with those large gaps between each person and the obviously less members than the Tabernacle Choir sounds so deep, full, and rich. How many angels are in those gaps?
This hymn is so incredibly beautiful. The lyrics "He yearns to bless you with His love and all your sins forgive" touch me deeply. It was the word "yearn" that struck me...I sometimes forget just how much my Savior loves me, and you, too. May we all live to make Him proud of us.

Just as Joseph Smith asked my great-great-great grandfather to continue singing to him while in jail just before his death, your voices provide comfort needed each day to get through trials.
