Thank you for sharing this little gem of a game! Been waiting since I accidentally stumbled onto the creator on IG. I love these type of games and will for sure add this to my collection. I also saw that they are going to release a physical version, so that's awesome to see from an indie game such as this!
I also love these types of games. It's a mix of the setting and the gameplay. They always seem to have great music as well. How do you go about getting a physical copy? Thanks for the subscribe as well!
I just beat this game after 2 months at it. Barbaric encounters and grueling tests of might, concentration and skill await all who dare Beholgar. Definitely try this out...
As I’ve gotten more experience with reviews since this video, this game definitely had some minor bugs which are probably fixed by now. That being said, it was still great with its platforming, enemy design, and especially music. A game similar to it is called Odallus and that one is also a lot of fun
There is one extremely irritating bug. You can't pick up a ring called Korkut's Ring. If you do, the game freezes and you must restart it. After that all the progress is lost. The ring would give you a faster refilling rage bar by the way. Great game anyway. But the bugs are annoying.
There is a weird solution. You can start moving, if you open the inventory. The information window will be still frozen to the screen blocking the view, but you can move. If you die in this state, the game will load you back to the spawning point with the ring in your possession. It is not nice, but it does the trick, this way you can have the ring.
@@szabolcskunkli8782 interesting. I never had that problem or maybe I didn’t pick up the ring if it was optional. Truly would have been a fantastic game if it wasn’t for some of the bugs. The soundtrack and environments are great
I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Wish it was a bit longer, but you'll be dying plenty. I'll more than likely do a second playthrough soon which isn't something I do often.
If you liked this you should play Odallus, it’s a lot more polished than this one but similar. I’m quite surprised that the comments show that people either loved it, or absolutely hated it
I think it's a matter of personal history. If you grew up playing games in the 80s you really just don't care if a game has minor hiccups. In contrast younger gamers render a game unplayable if the fps drop below 60.
@@FalkFlak That makes a lot of sense. I grew up in the 64/gamecube era so minor things like that never bothered me either, especially if the game has other solid qualities
Don't buy this game on Switch! This game is a disaster! THE GAME DELETES SAVE AFTER A FEW HOURS OF PLAYING! Massive frame drops during challenging platforming segments! From the inventory, key items are invisible. The character gets stuck in the wall forcing the game to restart after which the game deletes the progress! Has anyone tested it before releasing it to the market? FAILURE!
Yeah I just purchased game on switch digitally and oh god I put 2 hours only to find out it’s buggy as all hell! I found this bug where if u climb a vine to top it’ll put u in a sort of frozen state. I found other glitches like this in the game. Unacceptable.
This game SUCKS! Glitchy, clunky controls and often unresponsive which makes the platforming an absolute joke! Keep dying in a difficult spot, next thing you know you're out of money! Fuck this game it's horrible
Ya, I made a comment on that. I had some occasional frame skips, and it could be choppy at times, but it never usually bugs me too much unless it's a gamebreaker.
@@georgeprimenemesis4054 Now that you say, I didn't even notice I couldn't see the quest items good point. Sorry about getting stuck though I never had that issue.
I didn't pay attention to the quest items, especially since there are so few, but I was stuck a lot in sections where you could roll and I had to restart the game as well (the menu is not even accessible anymore). I stopped trying to roll in these little spaces since there is nothing hidden there. Other bugs I faced include : climbing to the top of ropes made the character slide to the side, I managed to get to the top of the screen in one section then the character fell behind the background and was stuck, consumables dropped by enemies often go through the ground and the boast guy, once used, is stuck on one side of the river. Overall, nothing game breaking since save points are very frequent. On a side note, I wish they made a few adjustments regarding the gameplay like making the double jump go higher, allowing to double jump after holding on a ledge, stop making crumbling platforms break when touching them (instead of breaking when standing or holding them), make the magic gauge upgradable and allow fast travelling between save points (or at least a few key locations instead of "random" save points). But overall, great game, I wished it had a couple more zones and more non-human bosses.
@@GUIHome09 Ya even though the bugs don't bother me too much if they're minor, I'll definitely talk about that a bit more going forward. since I know it does for some. I agree, overall, a fun game and the non-human bosses I thought were lots of fun.
