Yeah I have a question WHEN DOES IT COME OUT? You've got what looks like a finished product there, with branding and everything. When can we mere mortals purchase these?
I would like to see a new firmware update for the Deepmind 12, it needs a simple bypass for the effects. If there is one I have missed please show us. Love your work from Australia!
@@ZvookUK is that a global bypass that you can use to quickly listen to a sound with and without FX? Or do you have to dive?I knew you could go in and edit any sound and remove FX.
@@mantravision69 yeah - the setting where you can remove all effects paths and just have the plain analogue signal path sound without reverb, chorus, delay, etc., etc. Is that not what you meant?
Hy ralph ! I like your Videos ! Habe so ziemlich alle Module vom System 2500 ! Aber ist etwas schwierig zu spielen ! Übung macht den Meister ! Deine Samples sind toll ! Gerne mehr 😀👏 ! Lg aus Vienna !!!
@@michaelgmoser7845 Hallo Michael, freut mich, dass dir meine Videos gefallen. Wünsche dir viel Spaß mit dem 2500 und 2600! Happy patching! Viele Grüße, Ralph
Love this, can't wait for it to be available in the US. After comparing this to the DFAM, I like this much better. Except I can buy a DFAM now, and I can only look at the EDGE, as of this writing. With the war in Ukraine, and the long lead time, to build new chip factories, I don't expect we will be seeing anything new, shipping from Behringer, for a few years.
Thanks for the informative video. Seems to be a perfect partner for the Crave. I am afraid as I own two Craves, I will need two Edge's as well...😁. But one question, does the Edge will have the ratchet function like the Crave?
With regards to connecting a Crave and Edge together. I have connected both the way you Demonstrated, with one cable. I am new to the world of Synthesisers so I would appreciate a more in depth tutorial on using them together. Please show more as most people who have both devices usually show both synths full of patches, while playing some form of techno groove. All very good but in no way helpful to a novice like myself. 😁
simple questions for Behringer - 1. when I can buy Edge and BCR32 in EU ? Bcr32 with it's own 4 track sequencer with cv/gate out - that's a dream device
@@j.m.860 so would I and I hope Behringer realise that they are annoying a lot of potential customers by releasing information about releases (sometimes) years before they are available. What is the point of that? By the time it arrives I may well have spent my cash on something else.
@@anthonyhall2483 Yeah, I told my misses I want one for my Xmas present.. she said it’s not out to buy, I said it’s ok I’ll wait for it to come out. Let’s hope it’s not Xmas 22 🤣😂
@@anthonyhall2483 If you didn't know about it at all then by the time it comes out you may well have spent your money on something else in the meantime anyways since you had no idea about the other possibility, right? So what's the difference?
Can't wait for to be shipped! :D I have to say, despite all the controversies, i really like what's coming out of your synth department. I'm not quite the market for those vintage clones, but i've tried them just to see, what they sound like and so far i liked every one of them. I really would love to see some new, original Behringer synths. The Deepmind and the Neutron already have shown that you can do it! :)
Will there be any "assign" options accessible through SynthTool? Also, I'd love to hear the Edge and the Neutron paired up for a sound design session to see just how many awesome kick and snare sounds you could make!
Crave looks much better IRL than it does on video (just like the Neutron, everybody hated it until it was released) Skeptical rhe Edge will look as good irl though...
I love the jab at yourself with the haircut. For what it's worth, I think it's rather chic. It's reminiscent of the late 80's/early 90's industrial scene. Also, I swore off non-Eurorack synths in my studio, but I'm seriously rethinking this policy to allow the 2600 in because of this vid. That little snippet sounded gorgeous.
@@FatSynthDude Yes, I have to admit, since Behringer started releasing all these new, (retro), stuff, synths are starting to pile up like cordwood, at my house.
Oh my that with the Blue Marvin sounded just awesome. My 2600 arrived today and now I will order an Edge! So have I got this right? You are using the internal output from what the edge gives out which goes through the vco2 filter which goes through the EG then the VCA then the mixer and COMBINES both edge and 2600 sounds as the output? I am learning so excuse the stupidity.
Can you use your body as a capacitive noise source to modulate the sound (touching the end of a patch cable plugged in to OSC1CV, for example)? So excited for the Edge to be available. The Behringer RD-9 arrived at my doorstep today. It is an amazing drum machine. Pairing the RD-9 with additional percussive lines from the Edge, tied together with some bass sequences from the Crave, should be a fantastic trio. I'd love to hear any similar line-up if you do an audio demo.
I know that the Edge is not really built to do House drums, but can it do a basic 4 on the floor drumline? And what styles of music could you assume a synth like the the Edge would be just perfect for?
I forgot this was announced... I would like to see more of the 2500 sequencers. Don't know if they're out yet but Sweetwater says "in a few months" which is code for "sometime in the future". Does the EU have the entire 2500 line? If EU hasn't received them yet, then NA can expect them way late... Q3 2022?
Let´s say I use a model d in my eurorack case, is there a particular way to use the empty case from the model d and connect a flying bus cable to it´s psu to put some eurorack modules into it?? That would be great
You could definitely solder something up. But I'd just add a little eurorack power module and reuse the case. Or just... Keep the D in the case and put the modules where you were planning to put the D
Nice and LOUD : FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE RELEASE - BCR32 - This whole plain of existence would be better off, oh and please please please throw in a Remote Codec for Reason intergration. Thank you Dan. Great presentation, too.
Is is powered by midi (for clock, notes and velocity) but we don't know if there will be some midi cc to control. Which could be a good thing but not cheap ;)
Hey D F - Although we've given EDGE some super handy features like MIDI in/out (both 5 pin and USB) and the external cc control on the filter, EDGE does not feature a reset input sorry. Best wishes - Dan
I'm wondering if Behringer could post a video featuring a person from their sales department...explaining which of the devices in beta-development status depend on which chip shortage issues, the lack of shipping containers etc. or if - maybe - they just hold back the shipping on purpose so that the final prices for the customers don't rise too much? I could imagine that the shipping of the RD-9 and RD-8 mkII was held back because of that...because instead you were able to ship literally "zillions" of TD-3 and RD-6 devices. Very strange...
@@TheDavidPoole But the developers don't order the parts from Behringer's suppliers. And the developers are also not the ones who order a logistics company to take care of the shipment. Not sure if they have an inside view into the market like - for example - a part purchasing office clerk has it...who sits like maybe "one door away" from the office clerks who sell the finished devices to music shops all around the globe. ;-)
@@sauermusicDE I think that Behringers sales people are in Germany whereas the manufacturing is in China and likely the parts ordering. Not exactly one door down the corridor. The reason I suggested the devs/designers is that they are likely the ones who know what chips and other parts are required for their products and are more likely to have a pipeline to the manufacturing process than those tryi g to push product to the retailer. In my experience, most salesmen are just interested in the bottom line and don't give a hoot about what goes inside said product. They don't order parts, nor get involved in logistics either. These tasks will be done by 2 or more different departments on different continents with a company as large as Behringer. So even my glib initial throw away reply was not really correct either. It's a much more detailed question to ask and a chat around the water cooler will go no way to answer it. It would likely take multiple high and low level meetings and/or video conferences, over a period of many days or weeks to get an answer. Cheers.
Hi Behringer ! I saw that the Wasp is selling at low prices, and thomann and other don't sell it anymore... Is it the end of the Wasp ? A reason for that ? (No enough sells for example ?) Thank you !
I bought the Crave, returned it. Bought the Pro-1 instead. Though the Crave has way more features, I just did not enjoy using it. I know it sounds shallow but looks count for a lot. You’ll reach for something that looks and feels professional rather than a toy. Love the price point/features, hate the esthetics. If you put these two synths in the same form as Model D/Pro - 1/ The Cat/etc. I think people would be more likely to purchase it. Plus in the Eurorack format, those synths feel scalable/ coherent with other gear. Just some feedback for the future! Love how you guys are making great gear accessible to us working class people!👍🏻
If this happened, I'd trade in my DFAM in a heartbeat. I like the sound of the DFAM, but the layout of the Edge makes a lot more sense, and I'm sure I'd use it more than I do the DFAM. DFAM just isn't fun for patching with its randomized patchbay.
I'm looking forward for the VCS3 Behringer version and of course the other new releases but this Putney version is the thing for me.My samplers are ready for the job .
Can't find the EDGE anymore, no pics of it, not listed anymore at the THOMANN shopping side and also in Behringer's own webside... Maybe I only dreamed it 🤔
Hey guys, how's the status on the EDGE??? My CRAVE misses his sidekick he doesn't even get to know yet ^^ More information would be much appreciated :) CHEERS
I can’t find anymore in the website of thomann, why? There is a release date? Will be available in physical shops? When behringer will be at schneidersladen?
