Very nice. Well done. I was looking for a mixer for 2 vocals and 2 instruments to then play through my Bose L1 Compact and thought "what if I stretched my budget a bit? What would that get me?" The Bluetooth is a game changer for me. The sound quality is a given, but now we can have our non-playing band member sound man 400 mts (line of sight I would imagine) away to keep an eye on our mix. If you play in coffee bars the manager can keep an eye on your volume from a distance!!! I am a fan of Bose, but they're really missing a trick with this kind of thing. They should have a Bluetooth mixer built-in in their Portable PAs ........ aaaand built-in transmitters for in-ear monitoring ...... but now I'm having a whinge, I better see myself out!! :-)

Hey there. Good to see you as always. I’m blind and and wondered whether all the functions and features are accessible via the mixer interface itself or, does some of the functionality only rest in the app. I doubt the app is accessible with Voiceover but, I guess you could turn on Voiceover and see what it reads out? Thanks as always for these reviews.

Hi Paul, thanks for stopping by again fine Sir. I'd say alot of of the features are hidden away in the onboard menu/control system when being ised without the app. To set gain levels, pan, aux and fx sends on the unit itself you have to use the main multistate "dial" and menu system with alot of the feedback being given in the form of coloured LED's. Alot of the advanced features are only accessible through the app too, I'm not familiar with Voice over but I'll be sure to give it a go in the next day or so and be sure to get back to you with how I get on mate. @@jackduxbury1632 Hey Jack, hope you are well friend and good to hear from you. Thanks for this, much appreciated, would be interested to hear how you get on. You can simply: Hey Siri, turn on Voiceover and ask for it to be turned off when you are done. I contacted Behringer who were very positive but, does sound as though I’ve alerted them toward future considerations around accessibility rather than anything current. Finally and incidentally: I purchased the Yamaha PSR SX900 on your recommendation. It has a thing called Voiceguide which makes the keyboard partly accessible but, its a bit basic. I’m having to remember roughly where things are on the touch screen when Voiceguide stops working. Anyway, I have popped a link here to a little Christmas carol I managed to programme and such through the keyboard. @@vipodcasting Wow, hats of to you Sir! I just spent the last 30 mins with a blindfold on trying using the Voiceover feature with the Flow app. I can't imagine the frustration you must have with developers when with just a few tweaks it would make the whole experience way more accessible. Alot of the buttons were named correctly but it must be so frustrating when all you hear is "Button" or "75%" - What button?! 75% of What?!! 😤 Thank you again for bringing this to my attention and for the new sense of perspective on the gear I'm demoing. I have a home studio but one pair of monitors. can i used this to connect my abelton live from my laptop and my dj mixer to this so i don't have to switch cables at the back of the monitors every time and have both laptop and dj mixer connected to the speakers at all time?

5/6 7/8 are a stereo pair so what you have is a fader per channel for 1 through 4 then one for channels 5 & 6 and one for 7 & 8.

Thank you very much for this video. You may have said it in the video, but my English is not good enough. That's why I wanted to ask in writing. I live stream on Twitch. What I'm wondering is this. When I use all these effects and digital audio enhancements, will I experience a latency when monitoring the audio? Latency in hearing myself prevents me from speaking fluently. Is it a suitable device for radio broadcasts on Twitch? I use Behringer x1222 analog mixer in my live broadcasts. You know, when I speak, I turn down the volume of the music with a fader. When I'm done speaking, I turn the music back up. Spotify music sound from my computer and my voice from my microphone go to the broadcast as a single stereo mix. In other words, when I add any digital effects to my microphone, my music sound is affected because they all go on the air as a mix. Whereas, I want to make sound improvements to my microphone input and music input separately. Do you think it would be a significant upgrade? Will this solve my problem? For this kind of solution, I normally have to use an expensive and large digital mixer like the Presonus StudioLive 16. And I'm looking for a more compact and cheaper solution. You can also suggest a different mixer. Thank you so much.

I am now thinking of hooking up a DAW to this thing. Somebody any ideas of which DAW will 'see' this? It's easier to ask than to 'suck it and see' approach. Although it looks like Pro Tools and Cubase are the ones on top of the list.

Hi I hope you can help me fix this. I just bought the flow 8 and a brand new MacBook. I installed simply put and Everything goes well until after I select the newest version (738 now) and click update. A legend comes up that reads… DFU ERROR 7: failed to prepare dfu update. The mini screen in the mixer stays red in update mode until I turn it off. One time the legend didn’t appear and it continued to update in the simply put but the mixer said UPDATE FAIL. If anyone could help me i would really appreciate it.

Guess for a solo performer - or a duo, not a bad piece of gear. But - Mice pres 3 and 4 are not likely to sound good - see specs - Mic E.I.N. (20 Hz to 20 kHz): -117 dBu, A-weighted Therefore : With only 2 decent mic pre's. Now that is quite a limitation. Much better to aim for the higher end mid level Behringer mixers, for about £200 more. or the analog mixers for half the price. Not sure who this us for. Bit of a mixed bag. Its aiming to be an audio interface, with only 2 ins not 10 as the presenter of this video got it the wrong way round, its 2 inputs 10 outputs from the from the computer. Andertons kindly check the Behringer specs again. But for much less you can get a decent 4 input USB Audio interface like the Motu M4 or Evo 8., each with 4 very good mic ins.

Basing mic pre quality on one number only? In a real world scenario there is no perceived difference. You can even connect dynamic mics to the TRS-only inputs as they have +60dB of gain. Makes sense since you have hi-z inputs for guitar as well. As for only 2 usb-returns, things may change ;-) Don’t forget the bluetooth audio input as well. @jack said something cryptic about not running the controlling app and bt-audio at the same time. Just to clarify, you can very well run the controlling app and bt-audio simultaneously. This even on the same tablet or separate devices, whichever you fancy.

A company called Worlde I think used the AKAI MPK Mini design with their Panda Mini. Their Worlde Tuna model also looks strikingly similar to Arturia's Minilab. Also their Worlde Panda 25 looks inspired by M-Audio Axiom 25
