Well said Sir, If You play with it like a toy, to You it's a toy. BUT If You create music with it it's an instrument. The JT-4000 micro sure makes some sweet sounds, it's all down to how You use it. -grin- Have Fun and Keep On Modulatin'
Thanks for the demo and the talk through, I think its a great little synth, the addition of the chorder mode and hold function in the last firmware update made a great little synth even more versatile. I had a lot of fun just making some ambient drones with it. In so far as size goes, suits me just fine, I don't have room for a dozen fridge size synths, so good all round. Looking forward to some of the other minis they've promised to bring out.
Thanks so much! Yea it’s a great little synth. I would have loved this as a teenager in my bedroom setup. I’ve just got the wasp! I’ll Do a video soon :)
@TheComposerDiaries I thought about the Wasp at one time also, but storage space is running low. The good thing about these little synths is that they are 4 voice polyphonic and presets can be stored. I like my crave, but I can find far more uses for the JT4000. The behringer pro vs mini is also a good one, John Carpenter all day long on that. I'll look forward to your Wasp video, please share opinions and ideas on that. I personally would prefer to watch videos where people discuss their views on the gear rather than just jam or go through presets. There's enough of those on RU-vid. Opinions, views usage scenarios is what I personally like to see that's why I subscribed. I think you did a good job running through the presets and made it interesting. Good luck with the channel hope it goes well for you.
Hey thanks so much and for the feedback. I suppose if I had more knowledge on this stuff I would do full on reviews but I’ll leave that to the experts. Really appreciate what you commented :) Best, Paul

Thank you my friend. Actually this brings me to the only thing I could say negatively about this. So I’m using the USB C port it comes with and then in my DAW I can select it as a midi track. There is no midi port on this so currently Dawless operation is not a thing :(
@@jatsajatsa lol! First thing I thought after shooting! I do have lights. However you are welcome to support me on Patreon if you like :) www.Patreon.com/pauleastham
about adding effects. I bought hte BehringerVS.. and it was one of the worst sounding synths I have ever bouight.. its in the box now again lol. thanks to people adding effects without telling in videos. But you said you have effects, so thanks.
@@AndrewTSq Ohh ok! I’ll check the VS out. I suppose for me it’s unlocking its potential production value. My Yamaha DX7 is also a totally dry synth. Even most modern synths have built in reverb and delays. If you turn them off, you’ll get something similar. I just put on on a reverb. An expensive reverb non the less but you get the idea. It’s funny that I bought this on the strength of a bad review. I love it now and have used it on some pro recordings. I am sure there’s an element of taste involved too but for 50 notes, who cares :))))
@@TheComposerDiaries hehe yeah they are cheap so hard to be too mad. I also have the Behringer Crave, I like that one. And I also have a lot of old reverbs, like Midiverb II that makes things sound crunchy, but the VS do not light up at all. I will see the if PPG clone will be more of my taste :) The DX7 sounds great even dry in my ears, but I also grow up with all the FM synth sounding arcade games that I loved the music from, so guess thats why I am fond of those sounds :)
@@OrganicGreens I will give it another try tonight then :) I have sample banks on my Emu sampler from the VS and they sound great, but this module sounds nothing like that. I actually got a Behringer Crave that sounded wierd, but there was a problem with the unit, so when Thomann sent me a new one, it sounded like it should :)
Here in Canada none of these new Behringer synths are actually available. Only one retailer in the whole country even has them listed but they're perpetually out of stock. So this seems like a bit of a joke. No thanks buddy.
Seems behringer have been a bit slow in getting these out, don't know what the road block is. Perhaps their just trying this new mini/micro format out. Can't see there'll be much profit in it unless they can sell on mass. Snap them up while you can I reckon in case they decide to pull the plug or jack up the price. Got my eye on the mini model D they promised for $99 but no sign of it hitting the shops yet.
@@TheBrythonicPantheonyea maybe I’ll invest in a few more. Well let me know if you do want one. Not sure what customs in Canada is like but happy to fire one over to ya.
Yes indeed! Have you considered a job in the police investigation field? Just pulling your tinker 😅😅😅 Yes it is too dark. Will make the next one more ‘light’ 😊
