JT-4000 is a great little synthesizer by Behringer I was using only the first patch to create this classic trance sound and the Model-D for bass. I actually own a Roland JP 8000 and nowadays is difficult to find one in really great condition. It is cheaper to get a JT-4000 to get a similar sound. Please subscribe and like the video.

JT4000 have a 12db filter (only) and the filter envelope is the weakest point in this synth. You can't make a proper trance plucky sound, sadly. It's still capable of nice trance sounds and after software update chord mode combined arp is a lot of fun. Is it a substitute for jp8000? NO, I would check out Roland Gaia 2 instead.

I have what’s left of a JP-8000 🤣 I keep looking for another broken one to build it up but now ??? Hmmm just wish Behringer made this as a larger desktop / Pro version but for the $$ this is insane even if it only holds up for 5 years and then croaks 🤣

@@distantidentitymusic Unpopular opinion, but I actually love the filthy bass tones the JP-8000 was capable of more than the supersaw, so it would be great if there was actually a video out there showing how close or not the raw oscillator tones, besides the supersaw, sound between the JP-8000 and the JT-4000.

Lol I'm same mate I moved the same week as I got it and my studio is still not built because my computer broke during the move. It's still sat in its box with the osmosis,pro Vs,and a few other new additions 😢

Is this a trend ? I also moved recently and no more studio space ; this does make the small form factor even more appealing in what for many of us is an ever shrinking world. I probably cannot resist getting one of these but I really want the larger form factor like the Nutron for example.

If you are only a hardware musician and want to keep it small, an Arturia Keystep 37 would be a nice combination and it has the built in ARP, CV out Sequencer options.

Sounds awesome. The original is capable of a lot, but those old units are starting to age out of their value. ... maybe behringer can save us with an expanded JP8000 clone. four voices isn't enough, you can get more out of adam zabo's VSTi clone if you want it.

It sounds great, but its no JP-8000 or Access Virus. Its too thin sounding by comparison. I feel like it its layeree with a bigger sounding polysynth, it'd make a fantastic filler for added brightness.

Yes, I am using the factory USB cable coming with the JT-4000. No issues at all, is a fun synth. Thank you 🎚🎛

I have connected directly to a powered USB Hub and yes is providing midi data I used Novation 49 mk 3

@notthebody I have 15 synthesizers and all them connected to a midi interface the JT-4000 is the one connected to the Hub. I use Cubase pro 12. No a dawless

That’s an important note as I was shocked to imagine this thing had any such bass. I’m glad to have read the comments and kinda wished that was noted in the title to be fair about the real use case of the JT unit.

I'm not a hater of Behringer synths in general and most of the time I think people judge their sound unfairly on brand alone, but on this one I 100% agree
