I just got mine two days ago and am watching all the videos I can to glean how-to hints and clever techniques. I've recorded a couple of quick tracks so far, but nothing I can use yet. I love the split keyboard feature. I also have noticed that there are several more foot pedals other than sustain. Wish me luck mastering the learning curve!

I was excited about this synth when announced a few years back, and since then sort of cooled on the idea. Now I can hear how magnificent it sounds, I may have to re-assess 😅 beautiful presentation Ralph, thank you 😊

I'm happy to get that classic Obi sound but what puts some people off is no onboard effects. But add some good pedals or get and its heaven.

An onboard FX engine would have been nice. But perhaps they wanted to stay true to the original as they did with the 2600. Personally I couldn't be happier with the UB-Xa. Thanks for watching!

I was following the development of this synth model in the last years. What's mezmerizing me is the sound quality of the original and the clone. It's the blueprint of what's considered high fidelity aesthetics. Must have to do with the lack of filter distortion. The sound quality is clean, warm. and rich. Kudos to Doug Curtis (if he would be alive). I'm not planning to get the synth right now, but maybe for next year March or April after the first firmware updates have been released. Addendum: Kudos to all the people at Behringer (presumably the ones at Midas) and the beta testers to make it happen.

Yes, I totally agree with your statement. The UB-Xa is such a great sounding Synth. I can image that Behringer will put its Poly Aftertouch Keyboard Technology also into the upcoming CS-80 and Jupiter 8 clones. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. Greetings, Ralph

@@RalphBaumgartl Putting the poly AT keybed tech into other products would make very much sense. Uli's business is all about keeping the costs down by avoiding parallel development.
