If you're looking for a great sounding Metal pedal, and money is tight, this is definitely a pedal worth looking at. It's definitely not going to replace a full cranked hot-rodded Marshall Stack any time soon, but for $25 and a few twists of the knobs, I would not hesitate using this pedal again.

So I bought one of these for £18 and then sold my Boss HM-2 for £170 on eBay and I'm happy as a pig in shit, but my bandmates no longer speak to me.

Marpy Mellow then you should say FK,em all cuz they have no idea tlhat thisl lol 0 pedal is identical to the boss heavy metal it use the same exact same board and circuit as the Boss and the Beringer uc300 ultra chorus also uses same board and circuit.These pedals are identical except for the plastic box. The VP 1 vintage phase has metal box awesome pedal for. $32.00

Just got this, it's a huge upgrade to my practice amp's gain. If you put the lower mid knob all the way up and turn the upper one to about 10 o'clock, max out on low/hi, you get a really decent death metal tone. Dist at 3-4 o'clock, level at 2-3. Similar to Sepultura - Arise or early Cannibal Corpse.

Many Behringer pedals have great sound, this is one of them. This one is noisy, but if you use good wires and add a noise gate pedal, the only thing that would stop you will be the lack of creativity.

Would you say this is good for lead? Sounds like you're demo'ing this in standard tuning, which I like because I'm looking for something for single notes. Like, a LOT of single notes played really fast. Edit: I bought it for $30 and it's pretty badass. Not even for the price it's just good. Very easy to solo with.

The best settings for this pedal were gain & treble cranked, mids at 0 and mid frequency at 5, low at 5 and volume at 2-3

Javier Santana That’s kinda what I find to be the best setting, I usually have gain and treble cranked but mid down all the way, I have no idea what mid or treble do but that setting is how I get the most metal tone

Not the best sounding, but its got that old school 80s distortion that would sound pretty cool if you are playing some retro Thrash/Death Metal.

+HTMLpopper yes the this pedal dont know have alot of low end but if you have other pedals dont forget that that the amp head is also filtering but than again this pedal does lack low end so this pedal is for heavy metal not quite nu metal

Plug it into your FX loop return port and you'll hear how it's supposed to sound. It's supposed to be used as a preamp, not played behind another one in front of the amp.

Put a Behringer TO100 before the UM300 and you'll shit a goddamn brick! That really beefs up the tone. =)

Baker YecodeZ Yeah you can, but for what I have found with getting the kill em’ all tone is to turn the bass off all the way, it gives it that dry and raw sound.

i bought this one as my first guitar pedal ... it was kinda ok with my old supercheap combo but it buzz too much .. and on my orange it sounds really thin and after buying danelectro metal (and all other danelectro pedals ) i never use it again ...

Sam Shore amen to that lol, I used to have a spider 4 and tone was cringe worthy. you will never sound good or be inspired to play better with equipment of that poor quality

Funny u guys would say that, cause I got a Line 6 Spider IV and have been getting the best tones of my life, aside from a Marshall JCM800, 900 and a couple Fender Blues combos. This amp is close enough, I’m a believer now.

@@sensacionsombria5125 Yo lo tengo y hasta ahora no me ha fallado y funciona bastante bien, yo lo recomendaría si vas empezando y no tienes mucho dinero para conseguirte uno caro o no quieres gastar mucho en una distorsión que te rinda bien. Solo debes tener algo de cuidado ya que son de plástico, no son tan frágiles y aguantan un uso normal muy bien, pero es obvio que tampoco es como para ponerse a saltar sobre ellos.
