I picked up a wing few weeks ago and spent every day on it and I keep finding out new things about it, it’s a beast and worth every penny. Some people are already starting to release custom firmwares and macros to change some buttons actions

I've looked through a lot of documentation on the Wing and cannot find out if the console has crossfading of scenes. Do you know if the Wing has it? Would be so much easier for mixing services.

Hello! Sorry to drop this question herre. I have a Midas M32 Live with two digital snakes, a DL32 and a DL16. In all the videos they show how the routing is but NOBODY shows with which channels both the inputs and outputs of the DL16 are used. I do not know what volumes or how to equalize from 33 to 48 of the DL16 or the outputs from 17 to 24. Help please. Thank you.

Hi Drew, great video 😁. Quick question does the stereo input mean - if I’m running stereo on keys I just need to take up 1 channel instead of two? Will this also be reflected when I connect the mixer to a daw?

Can you link 2 faders together on the wing like the X32? I know how to make the stereo channels (i.e. 1 & 2) but the slides aren’t links together.

this is the sampling frequency. you can compare it with the speed at which you blink when you are watching a video. the more you blink, the more you can see the video. if you blink very quickly it looks like you have your eyes open. this is the same with converting analog sound to the "digital domain". in principle you will think that a higher sample frequency is always better, that is in principle the case. only 48kHz is often considered perfect because a human ear cannot perceive the difference between 48kHz or higher. There are people who think they can hear the difference between 44.1khz and 48khz. I always just set it to 48khz because it has no disadvantages compared to 44.1. if you want certain equipment that only works with 44.1khz, you can switch the X32 / Wing to 44.1. but nowadays almost everything supports 48khz or higher.

Hi Drew. Thank you. How do you send individual channels back to Wing? With Logic X i can only send stereo 1-2 at the moment via Dante card back to wing. How u do it in Reaper? Thanks

On the X 32 I would my vocalist mic settings in the library so that I can pull them up and place them on whatever mic Channel they are currently using is this available on the wing? Also is there a way to save a bus configuration such as a inear monitor settings for a pacific person so they can be recalled and placed on any bus that they are currently using? Thanks

I have question concerning external FX racks. How many AUX per channel could I use ? I use a total of 16 external FX . Presently using a Analog 48 channel Siena 480 Midas console. I have many high quality FX racks and plan to use them. Could i use a DL32 to be used as a Send/Return I/O. ?

Yes. But a SD16 would be cheaper and handles TRS-(Phone) Plugs too. You get 16 Stereo Aux Sends an every channel plus 4 ST-Master Busses. A Wing can route everything to everything. Most Outboard will become obsolete thou because the Wing-FX are simply amazing in quality and quantity. :-)

Lets be honest, it is complete overkill for most scenarios and yet its sample rate is still only 48kHz, so NO BETTER than either the x32 or M32 although like the M32 and unlike the x32 it has the Midas Pro pre amps all be it ONLY 8 of them. YES only 8, cos the Wing and Behringer are expecting users to buy their snakes etc and not use on board inputs which is understandable, and in theory saves/makes them a ton of money. That is by no means a criticism cos the Wing is a fabulous piece of kit/mixer/audio interface BUT no pro studio/producer is going to take it seriously with it only being 48kHZ STUPID cos the Pro1 pre amps over AES50 can handle 172 channels at 96kHZ meaning those PRO1 pre amps are WASTED on both the Wing and M32 mixers.

I agree 100% with you. However the pre amps difference between the X32 and M32 are truly remarkable. We have both and the M32 sound quality is more analogue / warmer vs the X32 which is more digital / harsher sound. We await for the Heritage-D HD9624.

@@marcossebastian1739 You might feel so, but there is almost no notable differences between both preamp-design, except for the "PRO" being quieter (very quiet!). That makes the Standard-Version actually sound more "analogue". The "Pros" will sound a bit different if overloaded. Otherwise no "remarkable" difference - try a AB(X)-Test.
