Behringers SHOCKING New Release, Universal Audio SD mics, Warm Audio WA44, DIYRE 73p and more! 

Funny how everyone Loathe Behringer and Love Warm Audio. To us repair guys they both look pretty much the same on the inside when it comes to build quality and cutting corners in order to reach their price levels. If you listen with your ears instead of your eyes, then there can be a lot of money saved. Watching Live Audio Techs abandon Midas due to Behringer bying Midas, was downright pathetic! They all admit that it still sounds the same, yet they shun it, even though they used to love it. All because of a damn brand logo that hides in the background...

UA mics are useful without modeling. Tha plugin modeling is a added bonus. I think they are a great value and a great way to found out which one if the vintage mics you really want to buy.

Hey, I took those 73P photos! Thanks for mentioning it, I'm really excited about the preorder launch next week. Love what you do as well! I'm a big fan of weird old dynamic mics, but personally seeing reissues of them from other companies just doesn't excite me. I love Electovoice dynamic mics, including the many that are still made like the RE20 and 635A), and similarly I'd probably be interested in a D19 if AKG was making it, but I'd rather keep my eyes peeled for an old one at a flea market for a while than get a reissue from another company. That being said, excited to hear samples of the Warm version at some point.

maybe in Australia people hate Behringer, but here in Europe everyone loves it.... soon NEVE, SSL, AMEK etc.... will be called BEHRINGER... just like these brands : Aston Microphones, Midas, Lab Gruppen, Tannoy, Turbosound , TC Electronic ,, TC Helicon , Clark Teknik, Bugera , Lake Coolaudio...SO GET REDY >>..

Well I ordered a Behringer 369 and if it’s good it will stay in my rack and if it’s not good I’ll return it. They also own Klark Teknik and their LA2A clone is pretty darn good for the price. Also their EQP1 clone isn’t bad at all. People can complain but even the big brands make bad products sometimes and the so called bad companies have some great products. The big question is how long will they last. A tube LA2A for 360 bucks that’s almost always sold out with lots of positive reviews isn’t that bad 😊

Even Behringer bought Midas... Behringer was the most cheap sounding audio manufacturer... how they are going to change minds of their customers who bought Behringer gear in past with bad experinces is an other conversation... If I were them I would make such units that sounds so good as Behringer brand and make people talk about it

I have an original RCA mic. Is it worth 6k? No way! It’s cool but I’d never pay that much for it.

I disagree with some of your opinions on modeling microphones. Let's start with the obvious statement of 'you only need that amount of microphones'. It's totally subjective as to which ones you actually need, which is why big recording studios have a variety to choose from. And no, I'm not better off buying a selection of Neumann's simply because I can't afford them. 2. You don't need a bunch of software to use these. As a matter of fact you don't need any. These are decent mics to begin with and work just fine without the modeling part. I don't think these modeling mics are in a price range that would keep anyone from buying a real one eventually once people know what they do and don't like. 3. If you DO choose to use the modeling feature, you need ONE plug-in, which is the Hemisphere Plug-In and it works in all the DAWs. Sounded a bit more dramatic than it was when you explained it in my opinion.

I've used a umc 1820 for over 4 years now. I wish behringer weren't so "edgy" about their marketing, makes it harder to recommend

I will NEVER buy modelling mics ...😅 UAs amp modellers sound very decent though - but they all will be obsolete when their MK2 versions are released. Something that will never happen with their analog antetypes...

I don't like mics that require software or drivers, it locks you into limited options, and for a limited time. In a decade or two, they will be e-waste. If I buy a 40 year-old sm58 or md421, I've just got to take care of it and it will likely outlive me.

I hope it sounds better than the warm audio one, because it's terrible

D19 mic was used at Abbey Road and used a lot by the Beatles. Thats the main reason people would want a clone of it.

I agree on the modeling mics, and I own the slate ml-1 and several ml-2s. Thankfully they sound good to me even without modeling. Too many options is a real issue, something I have learned over the years. Same with plugins too - pick a tool that does a job well, learn it and use it, move on. Would have saved me thousands of dollars if I would have learned that sooner

DIYRE are great! I've made most of the things they sell, and have only had one problem that Peterson helped me fix, and Jesse is always so supportive. The main thing that I think is cool about the new 1073 pre is the voltage regulator so it runs at 24v instead of the usual 16v for 500s. Super curious about how the Behringer comp sounds/lasts, cause that'd be a massive get for any home studio.

AKG D19, I am a massive Beatles fan, like massive, so I’m am super stoked on the D19.. I thought all recordists knew the Beatles used it ha. The most common was on Ringos Mono Overhead, and bottom snare, (no top used at all) and bottom of the toms. Check out Warm audios guitar pedals too. And I love that Tube plug-in! So fun to mess with and learn

I am a little puzzled trying to understand the purpose of your video in regard to the Behringer 369 (I know, not useful, not healthy either, but it does pass the time ;)). You haven't used it or seen it yourself, so you understandably refrain from any opinion on it. With the avalanche's of videos already available on YT, it also doesn't really qualify as an obscure piece of gear that needs to be brought to our attention. I'll just keep thinking but may be you can provide a few hints ?
