Beidou's Strongest Teams at High Investment: An In-Depth Guide

Hey! I've spent a lot of time and resources perfecting my Beidou and I've just encountered so much misleading information regarding her best teams in particular. Since most creators encourage horizontal investment (building a large variety of characters rather than focusing more on specific ones), they'll generally focus less on characters' personal damage, and more on elemental reactions, which I find to simply be unfair to Beidou. I don't want to discourage anyone from playing any particular Beidou team - in fact I would encourage everyone to go wild and try branching out as much as they can - but I did want to emphasize just how strong these four specific teams are with a highly invested Beidou!
The first two teams you've likely heard plenty about, but particularly the first one I believe has gone WAY too far under the radar and I find it to be remarkably strong. As for the last two, I don't think I've ever seen anyone discussing them, so I hope I can potentially bring some new information to light in my analyses!

I've been seeing a lot of questions about Chevreuse as a Kazuha replacement in Beidou Hypercarry so I'll summarize my thoughts here: Pre-C6, Kazuha is strictly better, as he simply offers greater buffs while also offering the unique strength of grouping. If you do have Chevreuse C6, however, then things get a little complicated. C6 Chevreuse very much has the potential to outbuff Kazuha in the context of Beidou Hyper, but a problem lies in the fact that Stormbreaker snapshots. It's extremely difficult to snapshot more than one stack of Chevreuse's C6. However, this still means you'll usually be receiving 40% RES shred, 60% ATK (20 from Tenacity), and 20% DMG Bonus from her, compared to Kazuha's 40% RES shred and ~35-40% DMG Bonus. This of course gives C6 Chevreuse a slight edge over Kazuha in terms of buffing capacity (still not too big a difference, as DMG% buffs are much more valuable than ATK% buffs in the context of this team since Beidou is already receiving an abundance of ATK from Bennett and Sara). Additionally, unlike Kazuha, you do not need to swap into Chevreuse at all to refresh her RES shred - all you need is Bennett C6 to trigger Overloaded with Beidou's NAs. Moreover, due to Kazuha's universality, it's very valuable to free him up for the other half's team. So, the verdict? Yes, I'd say C6 Chevreuse > Kazuha. Kazuha will only be the better choice if you're in a scenario where his grouping is valuable. It is worth noting that if you have Freedom-Sworn, the gap between Kazuha and C6 Chevreuse is basically microscopic, especially since you can also just give Tenacity to Sara, so honestly you can just use whoever you want. It's also worth noting that Chevreuse is a bit harder to play, since you'll have to ensure you use Beidou's Burst fast enough to snapshot Tenacity's ATK while also ensuring you wait long enough to be healed and receive a stack of Chevreuse's C6 before you Burst. I also just wanna say that even without C6, this is Beidou's best 4-star only team by a country mile. EDIT: I also forgot to mention Chevreuse gives you another 25% ATK from Pyro Resonance. Still hold the same opinions about pre-C6 vs C6 though; DMG% is just too valuable in this team.

at c6 she'll definitely at least give kazuha a run for his money in that team but it does depend a) how annoying the ungrouping from all the overloads is and b) how easy it is to actually snapshot the dmg% buffs from chevreuse's c6 on the bright side I can pretty definitively say it'll be beidou's best 4-star only team lol

The Neuvillette taser team was on my radar as soon as I started thinking about strong teams I could run without Furina with Neuvillette’s C1. The Kazuha, Beidou, Fischl team seemed the best option after my research but I didn’t know anyone that actually ran this comp. Thanks man, you have instilled confidence in me that I’m on to something. Furina and Navia can now go hang out on the flip side.

Thank you so much for making this video. I've finally C6d her through shop. it took me two years to assemble Beidou Hypercarry. She was my first character from wishing and ive been building her and the hypercarry team ever since. Ive been playing this team even without sara c2 because of how cool beidou is. Her counter playstyle was very fun and basically taught me how to dodge. I kept pressing E instead of doding whenever i played a different character lmao. Anyway, it is super annoying to whenever i search "Beidou Hypercarry" to get Beidou Hyperbloom as results. I am so glad to have found your channel.

Thanks Cosma for refreshing me as a Beidou main i was getting tired of the meta but i was lucky enough to roll c2 nahida so ill be looking forward to the Beidou ,Raiden Nahida and Nuevilette team especially since i was one of those that was hyped up from the beta of Raiden and Beidou working together now here is the second opportunity at it im only a 237CV Beidou but many thanks my friend I cant thank you enough 😊🙏🙏🙏

Just got back to playing genshin for not playing about 2years. I have been enjoying beidou so much right now.her survivability it top tier Like countering and dodging attacks is so good. I also got recently kazuha on my 50/50 which is i paired with her. Right now im sitting at AR36 so far but I trust Beidou will carry me further. 😊

Im a Beidou Main myself and i can honestly say your on the right path but you still a long way to go DMG wise. I personally have gotten my Beidou (C6/TCrn/2pcTF/GF/Unfrgd) to do a whopping 1.22 Million DMG (Sara C6/Benny C5 /Mona C1 Team) and the world record isnt much higher than that. 1.25 Million First Point. Ei and Beidou DO NOT have any synergies. They Hold Eachother back and reduce eachothers DMG output. This is Well documented right throughout the Entire Genshin Community its also note worthy its something a great many of us are begging Mihoyo to actually fix as it would make them pretty much an Unstoppable Duo. You showed 4 Weapons. But not 1 of them was the Unforged. I do hope this is a weapon you have used or Atleast Considered as it is her Best DPS weapon. Seeing as you have a C6 Beidou you know her Burst gives you a shield. This then activates the weapons passive of 100%ATK bonus when protected by a Shield. Its basically like sticking another Benny on your Team and this weapon obviously gets better with more refinements. And if you don't have the Weapon next time it rolls round make sure you get it. Your Beidou will thank you for it. Im not sure what artifact set you are using but i do hope its 2pc TF/GF or 4pc EOSF. They are her best Sets by Far. ATK Sands, EDB Goblet, CrtDMG Circ. Good to See you have one of Beidou's Top Teams (Sara,Benny,Kazuha) but do at some point try swapping out Kazuha for Mona equipped with Thrilling Tails. If you know the Subs youll Understand why :) and what rotation to run. One last thing, if you havent already tried this you should. Run Just Beidou. No Team Mates and work on Artifacts and weapons and see what dmg she is doing while completely unsupported or buffed by anyone. To get the Numbers im getting ull need to be making over 100K just from her skill (Perfect Parry) and Wooden Shielded Mitachurls and Ruin Guards make the Perfect Targets for this kind of Training/Growth I do indeed this has been a help to you in some Shape or Form even just a little bit. We Need more People Flying the Beidou flag and stop resigning her to Sub DPS duties when she is meant for so much more :)

Yeah Beidou is great. I have her on a team with Cyno. She's actually his battery lol. (I'm a newish player and haven't really artifact grinded so it just works out that way.)

I literally only have C2 beidou & I'm tired of not getting her con's 🥲,this game sucks currently my stats are 78/140 with 220er I'm on fav, & yes I do have her bis weapons like wgs & serpent spine but in nuevilette teams her er skyrockets so it's ok. Nuevilette, kazuha, beidou, Zhongli/yaoyao/layla/kaeya/rosaria, I could go on but u get the idea

I have C2R1 Raiden and honestly a lot of the time I prefer not to play her bc she just completely trivializes the game 😂 I definitely think Beidou Hypercarry is significantly better than C0 Raiden Hypercarry though

Main problem at the moment is teambuilding restrictions (Beidou really wanting a second Electro) that make it so you can only add a healer by sacrificing something else. But honestly I could see them releasing a unit in the future that makes it easier to slot them together. Also thank you for the kind comment

Admittedly I don't have Furina so I haven't gotten the opportunity to test out teams with her, but unfortunately I don't think she slots very well into a Beidou team, mainly because Beidou demands a second Electro unit and there just aren't any good teamwide Electro healers, so you'd have to be sacrificing someone like Kazuha in favour of a healer. If they ever release an Electro unit who offers teamwide healing and something valuable on top of that like personal damage or buffs then I could totally see them working in the future though! Also if you're curious about the Beidou build I usually go with, it's 2 Thundering Fury + 2 Gladiator's Finale with R5 Serpent Spine. 2-piece combinations are technically slightly worse than 4-piece EoSF, but the difference is extremely minimal so I just go with the combo that offers me the strongest substats.

@@crimsoncosma I was thinking of Baizhu, Furina, Beidou, flex electro. Maybe Cyno or Yae. Really the main advantage Kazuha brings over Furina is the grouping which is quite valuable in the areas Beidou wants to be used in. IMO what Beidou would want with Furina is a grouper + healer. Many of the strong Beidou comps or showcases I have seen were from Wallenstein. He also uses 2pc 2pc artifacts and does not need much energy because he onfields her to parry a lot. Most of the time Raiden is better than Beidou in a hypercarry team but Beidou does have the advantage of being able to do serious damage with her skill to kill off low hp enemies instead of wasting a powerful burst like how Raiden hypercarry teams do. My personal favorite team is Beidou, Kuki/EM Raiden, Nahida, Xingqiu/Yelan. I on-field Nahida while switching to Beidou to parry a few times. This is the most comfy and strong Beidou team that is pretty easy to play. I used it to beat the hardest 3.7 Abyss we ever had on the first try using this team. It has a very good balance of very strong defense and offense while having AoE and single target covered.

Yeah if they also ever release an Anemo unit with both healing and good grouping then I'd absolutely see it too. I've played around with some teams that have Beidou as the only Electro serving as a sort of on-fielder and I think they perform better on paper than they usually do in practice. You can get some really good single chamber clears with teams like that, but there are a couple restrictions with those teams that just make them very inflexible. For one thing, you have to try your best to maximize Stormbreaker procs with Beidou herself which you can technically do very efficiently with N1 walk cancels, but those are very precise and you'll probably have to dodge eventually which can significantly screw things up. For another, sometimes enemy AI is just so finnicky and will prevent you from maximizing your counter efficiency, which can cause serious energy problems, in comparison to teams with an Electro battery to compensate those potential issues. The solution to this would be giving Beidou a crap ton of ER but honestly in order to do that you'd just be gutting her damage too much. From what I've seen, Wallenstein usually just posts single chamber clears which, like I said, Beidou as a solo Electro can perform very well in, but in most Abyss lineups I find it to be very annoying to clear all 3 chambers in a floor 12 half with a team like that.

I'm a huge fan of Allegra Clark and have always wanted to do this with Beidou. I've got all the pieces together too, weapons, supports, artifacts.... ...just still no Beidou after 2 years hahaha. Going to buy her from the shop finally, and get her from Lantern Rite, then hopefully she'll find her way on to a banner again soon. ...I really should have just pulled the Furina banner but I knew I was going to drop hundreds of pulls into Raiden so I skipped

always atk%. as long as you run her in double electro her er needs will never be very high, and running an er sands just makes her damage fall off hard

I've been thinking the same thing. From the looks of it, Kazuha will always be better than a C0-C5 Chevreuse, but she should win mathematically if she's C6. It'd still be situational though as you'd lack Kazuha's grouping which is just indispensable in some scenarios.

oh I wouldn't even bother going for double swirls in beidou hypercarry, you only get use of the pyro swirl if you infuse pyro in kazuha's burst and that would require you to do a really janky rotation

it still works as long as she's c2! something nice if you don't have her c6 is that you actually don't have to refresh her buff on beidou since her burst snapshots the atk buff (c6's crit dmg buff can't be snapshotted so you have to reapply it)

question about surcrose and kazuha wouldn't r5 hakushin(20%)+ c6(another 20%) sucrose be a bigger buff than c0 kazuha?

Sucrose's C6 can only buff one element for a very brief period of time, whereas Kazuha gets 100% uptime on his buffs for both elements. Also Sucrose's C6 will usually only buff Hydro because when enemies have both a Hydro and Electro aura on them, Hydro will be prioritized.

I loove your video! In depht content like this is litteraly what I'm searching for when it comes to build and fully invest on a character I like. My Beidou was benched for most of the time I played Genshin but I started a new account a while ago to play with character I never played before, and she quickly became my most important character in this one, in a tazer team with Ayato, Yae and Jean. Pretty good video. Do you have any weapon rankings for the teams mentioned? Also for artifacts, is 2TF 2glad always better than Emblem or is Emblem better in some teams?

I've been considering making a weapon ranking video but TL;DR Serpent Spine is generally the best and Tidal Shadow is her best F2P option. As for artifacts, Emblem actually wins *in theory*, but the difference between Emblem and 2-piece combinations of TF/Noblesse/any of the ATK% sets is so minimal that better substats will pretty much always win.

@@crimsoncosma Oh, that makes a lot of sense. Since i've been throwing all of my resin into Furina and the garbage pieces turning into Emblem, my best set is 4PC emblem at the moment. What would you consider to be "high investment", btw? Is it 5-star weapons for Sara and Kazuha C2? Because while i do have Serpent Spine, C6 Beidou and C6 Sara, my Kazuha is sitting pretty at C0 Iron Sting and my Sara has the Sacrificial Copium on and i don't plan on changing that anytime soon(though i do have a Aqua Simulacra on hand).

Great question, honestly it's a pretty loose term no matter how you look at it, but I'd usually consider it to be stuff like crowning the character's most important talent(s) (just Burst in Beidou's case obviously), aiming for around 200+ CRIT value in artifacts, and maybe going for at least *one of* the character's best weapons. Serpent Spine and C6 Sara are both huge so it's great that you've got those, and as for Kazuha's C2, it actually benefits Beidou herself very little. Her personal damage scalings are much, much more important than damage from reactions she triggers, so EM isn't very useful on her.

@@crimsoncosma Oh, good. Usually when i hear "high investment" i'm not sure if what's being talked about is resin investment or primo investment(or even the ratio of the two). If resin and Kazuha(a high value unit good for any account for any purpose regardless) is mostly what's needed to make the captain pop off that's great. Meanwhile if i want to do high investment on Hu Tao C1 and Homa are things people will mention.

I do wanted to ask about a Beidou with Yoimiya as a driver, Sara and Kazuha, from what I can guess now at least, Sara might be a better unit than Xinqiu in this team? Any advice please?

Could work, but honestly if you wanna play a Yoimiya Overload team with Beidou then Yoimiya/Beidou/Fischl/Bennett is probably the best move. Both Beidou and Fischl can snapshot the entirety Bennett's buff (unlike Sara's C6), and Yoimiya will get it for most of its duration. Also double swirling in an Overload team is really difficult so Kazuha wouldn't work very well there.

4 Emblem is technically her BiS artifact set and WGS is one of her best weapons. As for Taser with Furina/Jean, I'm not fond of how much utility you lose without Kazuha thanks to his crowd control and off-field damage, but in scenarios where the enemies can't be cc'd anyway I can definitely see it competing with the non-Neuvillette variations (his damage is just so good that his Taser variation will pretty much always be the best).

artifacts are basically the same at every level of investment, and as for weapons honestly Serpent Spine is just so broken (and 5-star claymores are so lacklustre) that at R5, it wins in almost every single scenario

4-piece Emblem is technically her BiS yeah. I'm not really a fan of aiming for specific crit ratios; with Serpent Spine what I'd suggest is aiming for about 70 CR and then once you've met that threshold, just get as much CD as possible. Though how much CR you need largely comes down to personal preference, and how frequently you're willing to retry Abyss chambers.

I would be interested why you didn't include Jean in the taser section. Although she is missing grouping, which may or may not be relevant depending on enemies, her combining VV and healing makes her a strong contender IMHO if you do not wish to run Kokofish but someone like Yelan.

Jean can totally work but the main reason I didn't include her is bc she's such a significant downgrade to your other options. Since no variation of Taser requires particularly strict on-field rotations where being forced to dodge can result in a major DPS loss like with Raiden or Eula, I don't find it imperative to run a healer, especially with the DMG reduction from Beidou herself. Of course this is subject to personal bias, as is everything I talk about in this video, so if you personally find that you need more defensive utility then you can feel free to run whoever you'd like. If you do want that defensive utility then I would still highly encourage Kokomi Taser over the Xingqiu/Yelan variation, but obviously not everyone has Kokomi so you can just play whatever's accessible to you.

I haven't played Genshin in a while so this might be a very stupid question, Isn't Raiden also a good battery and off field damage dealer ? (My usual team is Keqing. aggravate if it matters per situation)

She is a good baterry when onfield but her offield dmg is not good. Her skill talent dmg multipliers are not that good to justify using her as an offield dmg dealer. You can use her as a hyperbloom or even overload triggerer though since transformative reactions don't scale off of talent multipliers. They only scale off of Elemental mastery and character level. But she should be the only electro character in your party if you wanna use her this way. Otherwise, other electro characters might steal reactions. So basically, using her with Keqing in your case is not a good idea.

I wouldn't encourage widsith on neuvillette because only one of the buffs is good, especially if it's only r1. As for Arlecchino, she'll definitely have synergy, I just don't know if Beidou will be her best option for Chevreuse teams. I'm gonna be pulling Arle so I'll do some comparisons tho!

Does c2 kazuha benefit this beidou at all ir the buff is inconsequential?

inconsequential. outside of aggravate teams, EM does virtually nothing for her so basically all his C2 does is give his A4 buff 8 extra DMG% lol

can be pretty good, though much like taser I think the specific team setups people recommend (cough, sucrose aggravate) are very overrated lol. my favourite beidou quicken team is probably alhaitham spread, but she can also be pretty nice with keqing/yae as an on-fielder

How is sucrose aggravate overrated lmao? For 90% of players, it takes less investment and less tryharding to get better results than something like hypercarry. It's your average "Kazuha > Sucrose" mindset

You're clearly the wrong audience for this video as I very explicitly stated that this guide is intended for players who are willing to invest highly in Beidou. Sucrose Aggravate is something that is easily accessible for F2P players but its damage ceilings are much lower than other Quicken teams. The reason I call it overrated is because I see a lot of content creators refer to it as one of Beidou's best teams when that is just not true at all.

@@crimsoncosma When you say that it's ceiling is lower than other quicken team, note that I'm focusing more on its performance relative to other teams that actually use Beidou. I'm not really comparing it to teams like Keq/Yae aggravate or Haitham spread.

I really loved this video!! Just one comment, ayatos timings are actually very anti-synergistic with beidous. It's still a great team and has plus sides to many other hydro options, but his attacks are just slightly too fast so he only procs beidou every other slash, worse than all the other options with this metric, still a great team that i love to use tho!

I strongly disagree with his timings being anti-synergistic. He's generally able to get 5 procs in his 6-second Skill duration which is a very fast proc rate. To put it into perspective, the average amount of Beidou procs most teams can get is ~10, and if Ayato's Skill were actually to last the same duration as Beidou's Burst he'd be able to get 12 procs.

The best advice I have for landing your counters is genuinely to retry chambers. While you're doing your team's setup, pay attention to when enemies decide to attack and what attack(s) they decide to do so you can align your swap into beidou with when one of the enemies is going to hit you with an attack.

of the teams that didn't make it, it's definitely the closest, but the main reason I'm not crazy about Beidou in quicken teams is because those teams' biggest strength is rotation flexibility, and Beidou kind of removes that since she's restricted to her burst

At C6 yeah. Pre-C6 unfortunately her buffs are just worse than Kazuha's, especially in the context of Beidou HC since you already have 2 ATK buffers (which makes Kazuha's DMG% buff scale extremely well). A fine option if you don't have Kazuha, but unfortunately can't "replace" him until C6. At C6, her healing ticks are a lot slower than I expected so it's probably only realistic to get 1 stack of her C6 in most scenarios but yes that should be enough to push her slightly above Kazuha.
