This is a love song from Chinese to all Chinese and people around the world. I just keep back my tears now. Oh my motherland you have come so far from the days when you were humilated, stepped on and bullied. You are so resilient and brilliant!
Iam also reviewed about opening ceremonies in other Olympic. The screen on the birdnest floor in 2022 could be the best visual ever in olympic history. Colors and graphics detail is so mesmerizing.
I'm seeing this for the first time, and i must say.. everything about this is absolutely beautiful!! When welcoming the athletes, the lights on the floor look like auroras. Even when the kids were singing while waving the little dove lamps and the snowflake rose, along with the lit caultron, i couldn't help but look at it in awe. It literally brought tears into my eyes ❄️❄️❄️
do you know that the kids with dove part is actually using special AI. There are special camera on the stadium that tracking down the movement on the kids, That is why the snowflake animation on the floor keep folowing the kids. Really amazing.
@@historylover7394 He's one Oscar away. When he was young, he was an actor (male lead), and he made a film and won awards. He became an international director, and was the chief director of the Winter and Summer Olympic Games. International first.
I come here on the summer night of July 27th, 2024 to search for the song sung by a group of youth about the story of snow flakes! Every time when I listen to that song and see the main cauldron been "lit up" in such a surprising way, tear comes out of me.
OMG! SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL! Thanks so much for everyone did such a great job for Beijing Olympic! I really enjoy the Ceremony, every moment in the show, really fantastic! Unbelievable, it looks like an art film, the best show ever.
what a show! very creative, i really enjoyed every single second and everything, from the firework to the culture. definitely the best winter Olympic Opening.
The philosophy of this opening ceremony is transition from "I" to "We". Hence you might feel that it doesn't mirror the Chinese historic reserves (such as arts, history inventions) as the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics did. It is a pavement to the shared future for all of human beings.

This was for me the most beautiful Opening Ceremony of Olympic games (until now it was London :-D). I cried many times with a joy when I watched it, loved children's choirs and this song Snowflakes. Olympic anthem is sooooooo dificult to sing and these children were amazing! Bach had great speach (and during closing ceremony is was great too). I loved all the simple but very important symbols - doves, olive branches, this beautiful snowflake, children, heart... China, thank you for this amazing experience. I will have it in my heart for all my life!
@@flarefrenzys3046 I watch every ceremony since my childhood. :-) Beijing 2008 was not too much interesting for me. I loved London and Rio was very nice too.
In the 2008 Olympic Games, China displayed a rich history and culture and was magnificent. The 2022 Olympics mainly showcased ideas and technologies, but of course also included many Chinese elements. Because of the pandemic, the Olympics are simple and creative. If you can travel to China, I believe you will like it here and have a better understanding of the Chinese culture contained in the Olympic Games. Vítejte v Číně!
@@dumbbirdvip I wanted to point out what they were actually singing just to avoid confusion as there are quotation marks. No matter if it’s Chinglish or not, they were not singing “come to Beijing for the opening”...
This is a country of 5000 years of history. Just imagine the richness and vastness of the cultural heritage it can present to the world. Anything that can stand such a test of time is worthy of being respected.
I will never forget the shock brought to me by the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games! I didn't expect the Beijing Winter Olympics to be still excellent! ! Beautiful!
China did the same thing back in 2008. Dozens of children from different ethnic groups wearing their traditional costumes and sing in harmony. It’s been 16 years still can’t get that beautiful picture off my mind. “The noble seek harmony rather than uniformity; the ignoble seek uniformity rather than harmony.” - Confucius There’s true cultural sense in that. And the best way to express diversity. In my opinion.
@@kezhiwang6380 must have that day and it’s coming soon! We are looking forward to it. Greeting from China! Hope the world peace and people get happiness.

This is ice-cold fresh breath-takingly stunning and beautiful. I was all jaw-dropping when watching the Summer Olympic 2008 open ceremony --- the bar was set so high --- I didn't expect this contrasting style presentation for the winter 2022. Amazing creativity and artistic. Thank you China. You make the message very clear to the world every single time: Peace, Love, and Together. We love you China.
In light of the recent events, coming back to watch this Olympic opening ceremony gets me emotional. If only the world can always be this united and beautiful.
Mind blowing. Superb !!!! Wish you a very happy Chinese New Year 🧧 and congratulations 🎉 on conducting Olympics in your region. Looking forward to be mesmerised by the magic of so many enthusiastic athletes from all over the world 🌎. ❤️ from Pakistan 🇵🇰.
Six days after the end of these games, watching this ceremony again, listening to the Snowfakes song again, tears almost out again. In these turbulant times, thank you the Olympics, thank you China, for giving us hope. We will remember this beautiful winter in Beijing!🌺
This is so beautiful so inspiring Opening Ceremony Olympic Games Beijing❄️Thank u Chinese Director Zhang Yimou for another magnificent & Mesmerizing Beijing Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony 💞
@@shajahankani4085 I also like the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony, when China attracted the modern world's attention for the first time. It showcased China's long history and oriental culture, which might feel unique and look magnificent to people not knowing China. This time, however, the directors wanted to highlight the most important lesson China learnt from its development in the past 14 years, which is that we all shared the future, so we should get together to face global challenges such as the pandemic. Therefore, they focused on addressing common concerns such as equality, cost-effectiveness, public health and eco-friendliness. I'd say with a lot aids of new techs, it was still a fresh and spectacular show - wouldn't you agree?😉
One thing I have noticed about the aerial view compare to 2008 opening ceremony is that the air quality has been hugely improved, no foggy anymore. It's great to see that,
In 2008, the air in Beijing looked bad because a large number of fireworks were used at the opening ceremony. The smoke looks dirty. In fact, during the Olympic Games, the air in Beijing is at its best.
Come back to watch opening ceremony again after watching closing ceremony... never failed to get my goosebumps and tears even after 3rd time, 4th time... simply therapeutic
The singer for ‘Imagine’ is a young Chinese singer: Li, Chen Xi (李宸希). He was born in a village in Inner Mongolia, China. He loves music but went on to study public health in college because that is what his parents want him to do. However his passion for music eventually led him to musical. He played lead roles in some Chinese musical productions. He found out his voice was selected when he was watching the opening ceremony. His journey is so inspirational.
I am from China, because we now advocate green, environmental protection, and frugality, so our country has not invested a lot of human, material and financial resources. 2008 proved that we are capable of hosting great Olympics.
Sooo sooo proud being a chinese watching this opening ceremony. I am just speechless and goosebumps all over my body. And of course my eyes were tear up the entire time. 🇨🇳👍💪
The opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 games is stunning, spectacular and beautiful as the Beijing 2008 is🇨🇳 As a Chinese, this opening ceremony always gives me goosebumps and I cried for few times when watching❤️
Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008/2022 are my favorite ceremonies 🇬🇷🇨🇳 Greece is the mother of our Western civilization and its influence is very obvious, but China always impresses me with all its techonology, determination and hard work. All of my respect to them, from Mexico 🙏🏻
i did not realise that i was holding back tears the whole time. there's something just so beautiful about this year's opening ceremony. i think the unity is one of the major reason, i wish to experience this feeling live one day and not just through a scree. stay safe everybody! much love from hong kong. :,D
In Brazil, the diminutive of the word "beijo" (kiss) is "beijinho". We even have a candy called "beijinho". Beijing, in Portuguese, is "Pequim", but the English version reminds me of our "Brazilian little kiss". So a "beijinho" from Brazil to you, Beijing! Great Winter Olympics! 😘
I never really paid attention to the winter olympics. But since the west especially the US was making such a big deal about it, I just had to watch it. And these were the best winter olympic games I have seen, and thats despite the pandemic. Also enjoyed the fact that since the US was making a big deal about everything. they still came 4th below China in the medal charts.
USA was ranked 4th in the number of gold medals and 3rd in the total number of medals. China was ranked 3rd in the number of gold medals (just one more than USA), but 8th in the total number of medals.
1:56:16, when the group of international students march across the stadium, my tear rush out. It was a difficult time, for the world. We need to get together, we need to work together, together to creat a better world.
To me, rather than almost all the familiar tunes of European classic music on the marching of athletes, I was stricken with the song "雪花 - Snowflakes," sung by children's choir group along with so many voulunteer people were united with one on the footage from 2:19:38 to 2:26:21. I found this video the most memorable moment of harmony and togetherness of the Opening Ceremony!
As an overseas Chinese, I can tell you that our culture teaches humility, and to always treat your guests with hospitality and respect. I can see all those values being showcased here in this beautiful production. Congratulations to China and all the athletes!
