Only true OGs remember when the song was mislabeled as “Bein' Friend” in the game

People say its misspelled in Smash Ultimate, but the original MOTHER album for 1989 labels the song as "Bein' Friend". It's an "Engrish" situation, but that *is* the official name of the song.

I've been so used to this rendition of Bein' Friends, what with it being tense, high-energy, and almost kinda foreboding at parts, that when I heard the original in Mother 1, I was completely dumbfounded by how mellow and carefree it is throughout the whole composition.

For the longest time I thought it said bien friends instead of bein' friends, so I thought it was called good friends.

MOTHERの存在知ったのスマブラが最初だったけど、最近MOTHER2クリアして聴き返してみたらエイトメロディーズとかタイトルの一部とかループの繋ぎがエンカウント時のSEとめちゃくちゃ豪華なアレンジになってたんだな

Weirdly enough, in Ultimate, the playlist calls it Bein' Friend, as opposed to Bein' Friends. But they aren't actually, too off when it came to the spelling. Many times in the games, the track is called Bein' Friend. Sure it sounds like they screwed up, but at least it isn't Onett anymore.

I just LOVE earthbound and their OST songs!

This Song and the Neighborhood stage in Smash Bros(Mostly Melee)..are what really got me into the Earthbound series (and Especially why Ness has always been My Top 5 Mains to play with in the Entire Smash series)..

They say you can hear the screams of those who died to the PK Fire combo in this song.
