I also HIGHLY recommend working with a coach--any type of coach. It's been the best decision I've made this year as a founder.

I'm a tech startup founder as well--thank you for sharing the stress/anxiety of fundraising. Runway is probably one of the most stressful parts of running a company. I always remind myself of all of the problems I've been able to overcome when I am facing the financial pressures of running a startup. I also have learned nothing is as bad as it seems.

I got my Romanian passport a few years ago to study and work abroad and it’s so worth it! It took me good 4 years (pandemic slowed it down significantly), but it was life changing for me as someone from a second-world country, Moldova

wow i really appreciate your transparency in the beginning and really resonated with when you said "why did I choose the hard route" 😭 i journaled about this the other day and I still don't even feel like I resolved it, but i do love what i do! I found out that I have PMDD and the anxiety/depressive thoughts usually hits me two weeks before my period. I’ve been taking 5,000-10,000 Ui of vitamin D at that two week mark (recommended by my doc) it’s helping those hormone fluctuations so much!

@natalie barbu - try sharpening the knife you use while cutting your onions. The chemicals that make you cry get released more if you use a blunt knife to chop them

Also start tracking and paying more attention to how you feel and your thoughts 1-2 weeks Before your cycle. It’ll help you determine if it’s PMDD

I got my Irish citizenship couple years ago. I wish I could give more details/advice, but my mom took care of most of the documents and application lol. I just remember the process took a while--like over a year (and the pandemic didn't help 🙃)

About the onions, I’ve heard to use a steel knife that has been sharpened very well and it won’t crush the cell walls in the onion, it just slices past them! Apparently that’s where the strong fragrance comes from which causes us to cry.

The process for becoming a citizen there is kind of complicated and takes a loooong time. My best friends grandparents are from Italy and I think its taken him about a year, and he's finally going to get his citizenship in August!

I talk about this in my video raising money but essentially tech is very expensive so we needed a ton of capital to even begin. We also think we can scale really quickly + efficiently with capital - pros and cons!
