I am sorry that contemporary Polish-Jewish history, especially around the last decade in the 1930s, took such a sad turn and Jews were increasingly perceived as aliens in Poland. This had a huge impact on their fate in Poland during WW2, combined with the horrible German policy. I think that the source of the guilt of many Poles is, above all, simply the sinfulness of human nature. Poles are similar to people in other nations. There are always good and bad people and the QUESTION is which ones APPEARS TO BE MORE at a given time and in given circumstances. WW2 is the best example when observing e.g. fascism or communism. But this social-philosophical reasoning does not constitute an excuse for anyone. Evil is countable - from small to enormous. And the second factor - a very large Jewish population in Poland, mainly in the cities where often reached far more than 50%, even 80% in smaller towns. Therefore, many people decided that Poland was no longer for Poles and, as it happened, they began to look for the source of their poverty, misfortune, etc. This is a very typical phenomenon today as well. This can be seen both in smaller and sometimes huge contemporary conflicts in the world.
Jest mi przykro, że polsko-żydowska współczesna historia, przede wszystkim okolic ostatniego dziesięciolecia w latach trzydziestych potoczyła się tak przykro i Żydzi coraz mocniej byli widziani jako obcy. To miało ogromny wpływ na ich los w czasie WW2 w połączeniu ze straszliwą polityką Niemców. Myślę, że źródłem winy wielu Polaków jest przede wszystkim, po prostu ta nieszczęsna grzeszność, zło natury ludzkiej. Polacy są podobnymi do ludzi w innych narodach. Zawsze będą dobrzy i źli, PYTANIE JEST których POJAWIA SIĘ WIĘCEJ w danym czasie i w danych okolicznościach (WW2 jest najlepszym przykładem obserwując np faszyzm lub komunizm). I drugi czynnik - bardzo duża populacja ludności żydowskie, głownie w miastach, gdzie sięgała często daleko więcej niż 50%, nawet 80% w mniejszych miejscowościach. W związku z tym wielu uznało ze Polska przestaje być dla Polaków i jak to się wtedy dzieje zaczęli szukać źródła swojego ubóstwa, nieszczęścia, itd. Jest to zjawisko bardzo typowe obecnie również. Widać to i w mniejszych i w ogromnych nieraz współczesnych konfliktach na świecie.
Yeah, I have to admit I am changing my mind, thanks to You and other Jews getting Polish citizenship. Maybe they would never move to Israel anyway so Poland is the second best choice to rebuild Jewish heritage. Jews with a big sign 'We're Still Here' would be a sort of big fat juicy middle finger to Hitler and Stalin, and all they did to Poland.
Zgadzam się, mnie również wyleczył katolicyzm...chociaż rodzinę miałam bardzo mieszaną mame kazała chodzić do kościoła. Kiedy już byłam dorosła zaczęłam czytać tzw Pismo Święte i tu nastąpiło mocne zderzenie, znaki zapytanie...zaczęłam czytać więcej na temat religii i wierzeń, zainteresowałam się biblistyką i szeroko historią . Jest dla mnie oczywistym faktem, iż religie oparte są mitach...są to bajania przekazywane, przepisywane od Sumerów ( a może i dalej) domalowywane wedle potrzeby ...jak komu wygodniej. na tworzonych historiach.

Most people don't know even great grandparents. Me too don't. Do you know? Btw jews who fled jerusalem migrated not only to europe but to south america, asia and even other parts of mideast. Before ww2, tons of jews lived in asia. Don't you know pogrom happened in 1946/1947 mideast? Around 800 to 900K jews who had been living in arab counntries for generations were forced to leave. Well descendents of these 900k jews are living in nowaday israel.
