I think I have found this quote as a Fight Club movie quote: "Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy s*** we don't need. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars, but we won't. We're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off." It is so strange, why are we doing this generation after generation? Maybe, because without God, we know nothing else. We want someone so desperately to love us, afraid of rejection, we look for safe solutions and hide behind colours the world thinks are pretty... or rather acceptable, appropriate, normal ... we want to fit in. It is built in us by God - but without God we don't know where to find this safety and love and fulfillment so we search for it all the wrong places.
