Being Cold to a Customer 

The plaintiff used to be friends with the defendant and repaired her fridge. He purchased the parts and did the work, but now she won’t pay him, so he’s suing. The defendant argues the refrigerator stopped working and she had to buy a new one, so she doesn’t think she owes.
