RIDE CYMRU - Charity motorcycle event challenge with start & finish in Wrexham, Wales.
EVEL KNIEVEL - arguably the worlds most famous daredevil, with his iconic white, red & blue leathers. Followed by his son Robbie Knievel who performed some even more amazing daredevil motorcycle jumps. The world famous Knievel family hail from Butte Montana, USA - yet it was 4,450 miles away in Wrexham, Wales, an annual charity motorcycle event created a new world record for most people dressed as Evel Knievel.
The annual RIDE Cymru motorcycle event, created in 2012, and renamed RIDE Cymru Knievels since 2015 as a tribute to Evel Knievel, has currently raised over £200,000 for charity.
Entrants total a maximum of 50 motorcycles per event, with Knievel clad lookalikes undertaking a 1,000 or 1,200 mile challenge depending on variations of route.
