For a second I thought Josh and Nora would never know if Aiden and Sally would end up together in the light...I mean, I thought we the audience would know, but not Josh and Nora. But the show gave us a happy ending ending for the roommates.
I'm so sad it ended, but honestly, they couldn't have written a better ending for this show. It's beautiful, and happy. I've stuck with this show since the first episode, and I sincerely hope to see al of the cast in the future. Maybe they could do a Being Human 2 with Josh and Nora's kids? I just hope syfy can come up with a show as good as this one, this was the only reason I looked forward to Mondays lol
Melissa Underwood in addition, this show was unfairly compared to the UK version waaayy too often. Both have their strengths and flaws, though the UK version is more ballsy and gritty, US is more consistent (esp the cast AND the characters who played em)...plus, this ENDING ❤️❤️❤️
Aiden learned he was worthy. It's all in what Aiden said.... "this can't be for me". Josh replies "don't think for a second you don't deserve it". So many people go through life feeling unworthy... undeserving of good things happening to them. Society has conditioned people to think this way. You don't need to die to find peace. I can go into the other characters and more into Aiden but this reply is already too long 🤣.
Aidan receiving a door with Sally waiting for him on the other side and that he's been her door since she gave it up in the first season was just so profoundly beautiful.
This is late but the actor who plays Aiden says that when sallys door disappeared in season 1 it was because her unfinished business had changed and that aidan became her new unfinished business so she couldn't move on to the afterlife until she saved Aiden thus sacrificing herself to save Aiden is what let her move on so in a sense he was her door she kind of gave herself an impossible goal which was save Aiden she was just lucky that she ended up getting magic and actually ended up being able to bring Aiden back but in a way Aiden was her door because she couldn't move on until she saved him
I'm sad this show ended, but I'm also amazed and relived that it could end on a happy note, I actually started tearing up when they said goodbye to Aidan...and then the kids the end....it may be corny naming them after those two, but I don't care!
That was the saddest and greatest ending for a vampire possible. i mean Mitchell in the BBC version didn't get a sweet ending. His ended in tears. But Aidan. It was perfect. He deserves to be with Sally.
Mooky Blaylock i talked to Sam about this. they didn't have the money just for this season. so they did the best that they could with it. why Sam do you have to break our hearts. 😭😭
+Noble i actually agree, if we are talking about deserving it.. Aides does not deserve that door. Neither does Sally actually.. the only ones that does are Nora and Josh.. but then again we all want a happy ending right? :P
Omg ikr! Like i knew it was going to happen.. but this was the most realistic ending we could of gotten. Tho I wished the story between Sally and Aiden has been more develop.. it's just felt so rushed.. now I am left with a huge hangover and with no hope to find a series as good as this one.. 😟
+Noble hey me too! Every time they got with someone else i was yelling 'its not going to work..' And when Sally became a zombie and she started to hook up with the funeral guy, i was like 'girl.. no!' Aidan.. go have your way with Aidan..
This brought me to tears, happy to see that they all ended up being happy. I feel like they were my roommates and I had emotionally invested in them all. I hope when I pass my true love will be waiting for me on the other side just like Sally.I will forever miss Josh, Aiden, Sally, and Nora my fictional roommates!😂💕😢
I have to say, Its a perfect idea for a vampire, ghost, and werwolf, I loved this show! almost made me cry because it is finally over :( Syfy canceled an amazing show that a lot of people liked!!! THIS IS WHY TELEVISION IS GOING DOWNHILL, for canceling amazing shows like this! :(
I miss this show so much! I’m glad with how it ended though. It couldn’t have ended any better. And I’m glad they put Aidan and Sally together. I knew from the first episode that Aidan had a thing for Sally. He was the first one out of him and Josh to accept Sally being a ghost and didn’t mind at all that she was there with them. He found it amusing. And became attached to her and very protective of her very quickly. In the 3rd or fourth episode of season 1 where he found out that Danny killed Sally, he was super pissed and wanted to kill him and make him pay. He barely knew her and yet he felt so protective and attached to her. She was always leaning on him the most and he was always there to comfort her, even when he couldn’t touch her. He was always there no matter what. Even when he was with other women, he still had this way with Sally that he didn’t have with anyone else. And when she sacrificed herself to make him human again, he was the most devastated that he’s ever been. He never cried or sobbed like that for any other woman, not even Suzanna. Even before that, when Kenny made him think she was gone, he went ballistic and was so broken thinking that he lost her. Even when Sally changed the past and was a couple with Aidan from the start, he said he felt an immediate attraction to her and flirted with her. I think he’d always felt that attraction for her. He definitely showed it from the very first episode all the way through. Aidan and Sally were always my favorite characters and I’m glad they were a couple and together in the end!
I must say, i am a loyal die hard true blood fan. But i actually loved the finale of being human way better than true bloods finale. Why couldnt we have gotten these writers. Eh, i loved being human too, im gonna miss both, Need more mythological monster shows immediately, since theyre cancelling them all this year.

I have to admit, Being Human BBC version sucked in how they ended the show, with a cliffhanger. The us version ended beautifully. Aidan died so his friends could have a long life. Mitchell just died cause he asked George to kill him to prevent himself killing anymore innocent people. As noble as it maybe, it ended in tears. I'm clearly dissatisfied with Toby Whithouse!!
At first, I really didn't like the idea of Aidan and Sally. It took me a couple of episodes before I actually really liked the two of them together. So happy they got to be together in the end :)
I luv the very end bit were Aiden goes thru his door and there's Sally waiting 4 him. It's like they were always meant 2 b together and Aiden deserved 2 move on 2 heaven w his Sally ❤️💜❤️
OK, I'm a cynical sunuvofabitch but I got to say I got a lil' mushy at this ending. I honestly didn't think this series was gonna have a "happy ending." (But I glad it did. And maybe Josh's kids will wait for puberty to turn...or maybe they'll turn into...I dunno, nice wolves. I met a real-life wolf-dog once and he was a BIG sweet animal.
The show still gets me to this day the best way to end it. Nora and Josh live happily ever after with their children. Aiden and Sally are together in heaven. This show was so awesome! Still watch it to this day
I've watched the uk and us version of being human, while this scene is sad and it did choke me up, the uk version for me is so much better, Mitchell's death has me bawling everytime I see it
This show is so very missed even all this time later. This ending with Aiden and Sally. On the side of death, happily together. And then Josh and Nora on the side of life, happily together. Was the perfect ending for this show. That final kiss pulls my hear strings every time 😭 Song is: I'm not falling asleep by Andy Shauf Really added to a sense of love and peace to this whole scene. These characters had been so well played, its a shame Syfy didn't invest more into it.
i saw the uk version (only to the final of season 3) and us. and for me it seems like the ending of the uk (season 3) is alot more powerful and emotional and sad then this one. cuz, this is a happy ending while in the uk version Mitchell died cuz he could not take being himself anymore or living with himself and he would never meet Annie or George or Nina.
***** Actually if you had kept watching the uk one you would know vampires in that series actually had an afterlife and Mitchel is with George, Nina, and Annie, and Eve
Anyone who hasn't watched Being Human UK (the original series): GO! GO NOW! It's amazing! If you cried at this, well, prepare to have your internal organs ripped out through your tear ducts (bit graphic, but what evs! Gets point across quite succintly). Annie, George and Mitchell, and the other characters in future seasons are E to the PIC freakin' EPIC!
It didn't just appear. It was always there. Sally and Aidan had a bond from the very beginning. They definitely could have stretched out their romance for another season, but since they were only making four seasons, they had to kind of rush it a bit.
