Being Late in Judge Boyd's Court Is a Bad Idea! 

I admire Judge Boyd! She's professional and she keeps it real. No favoritism/nepotism/ or shenanigan's.

She's right on about time and being punctual. I remember an old employer's saying I always live by: "To be early is to be on time. To be on time is to be late. And to be late is to be forgotten." A little harsh, but it drives home the point.

Judge Boyd cracks me up sometimes....adds just random bits in with her relevant correction: " _and every defense attorney will tell you - one of the rules we learned in law school...you know what it was? Make sure that you as a defense attorney don't end up going to jail. So. There we go. So you cannot.be.late.for this court anymore._ " ~~~~~~~~ (This provides insight into the way in which her mind - or, The Steel Trap as she calls it - stores and recalls information because it's familiar to me and I call it "The Segue". I'm sure there is a technical term.)

Really gets me how defense attorneys call the crimes their client commits "mistake". 2:37 A mistake is when you forget to carry the one in adding complex numbers.

She goes above and beyond and I like how she asks each defendant. Is there anything else this court can do to get you where you need to be

I saw it live and when she didn't correct the defense lawyer that it wasn't a mistake but a choice, I was shook. I was so ready for her black umbrella example.

I'm sure everything Judge Boyd said went right over that girl's head but she's 💯 correct on that. Being late is a terrible habit to have. I absolutely love Judge Boyd. She's always extremely fair and professional. I saw one video someone bought her flowers it was the sweetest thing! It just shows she's how good she is at her job.

None of this is resonating with this woman being late. She's never been on time in her life.

In the military, it was pounded into our heads about being on time: if you're early, you're on time; if you're on time, you're late; and if you're late, don't bother showing up as your commander will be promptly notified to determine your appropriate punishment....

i live by my military training when it comes to time. on time is 15 minutes late.

I honestly think any and if every person involved in any area of LAW from police officers to attorneys to DAs to Judges. Need to have annual mental health screenings to make sure they still qualify to perform their jobs effectively, unbiased and with a clear and understand of their duties to perform their jobs! Your personal experience life choices etc should have absolutely NO bearing on how the conduct and go about their duties! Women in positions of power is NEVER a good idea. Matriarchy's don't work for a reason. Your emotions should not have any involvement when dealing a persons life or livelihood smfh
