That prosecutor is terrible! The whole time during the cross examination I was waiting for her to ask if he had permission to leave the state. She never did! Then Judge Boyd brought that issue up and you can see that prosecutor think "damn..why didn't I ask that" Then during the judges verdict, she stood there and nodded her head, etc. A disciplined, experienced prosecutor would recognize the win, and stand there with stoicism while the judge made her decision..

I love the part where he says, "I couldn't do BIP because of COVID!" And I'm thinking, "How long were you sick with COVID? Because it doesn't last years!" and she later asks him if he's saying that at no time after Apr 2021 was he COVID-free... And he just gets quiet. Yeah, the judge wasn't buying it at all. COVID wasn't stopping him from attending mental health courses or peeing in a cup. Don't get me wrong. I do believe that the cycle of child abuse and domestic violence raising the next generation of child abusers and violent partners is a serious problem and that, far too often, boys are exposed to and encouraged to enact violence against others, something that, when they reach adulthood, suddenly becomes criminally unacceptable. It's like teaching a puppy to jump up on people because you think it's cute when they are little and then punishing them as an adult dog when they jump up on people and knock them over. Nevertheless, abusers have to WANT to change, and many of them will make 100 excuses to protect themselves from the idea that they need to change. If they refuse to change, it may be necessary to isolate them from others so they don't raise yet another generation of abusers.

I've seen enough of this judge's videos to see that she REALLY does not like being lied to... She brings the hammer down on ppl that lie to her... I'm very curious to see what would happen if some defendant came in and just told the truth? Would she still break em down? Or would she go easy on them bc she appreciated their honesty? So far, it's been all liars... And they've all gotten the hammer... I saw one video where the girl involved was in such a good mood at the beginning bc she thought she was getting out that day... But then the judge asked her some questions about her case... The girl lied about drug use and rehab... So the judge sent her back to jail for ANOTHER TWO YEARS!... This judge DOES NOT like to be lied to.

I think sometimes when you are seeing so much darkness on a daily basis that you need brighter things, and I think that maybe what the flowers 💐 and purses do for her🎉. You do you, Judge, you are a wonderful light in the darkness.

Judge Boyd is absolutely brilliant! Her BS meter was on high alert with this guy. I have known people with PTSD. The thought of leaving their Safe Place (be it a home, apt, etc), and driving cross-country (appx 26 hrs of driving), would have forced them into a fetal ball of hysteria. The victims of PTSD I referred to were high school classmates. They were also shot at - in Vietnam. They were drafted straight out of high school. None returned complete. Some had body parts missing. Some had all their body parts but their nightmares and guilt were horrific. I am not saying this guy didn't have PTSD but 'if' he didn't he is a lame excuse for a human being. And when he heard his sentence he stated 'my family will be homeless'. I saw red! He caused this situation by leaving the state illegally. He was on probation. He has been on probation often enough he knew the criteria. If his family is homeless that is 100,000,000% his fault. For once he needs to take responsibility for HIS OWN ACTIONS.

Haha, Judge Boyd asked the questions the prosecutor glossed over. He didn't even have permission to be out of state. And how did he travel out of state when he's agoraphobic? He was outside of the house, driving around in public, to get to MA. Lol, he's full of it.

I am so sick of people always saying mental health issues when they get caught. Theirs nothing wrong with these people except that they got caught and trying to get out of their punishment. They are alright long as they aren’t getting caught. STOP letting these people do their crimes and want to holler that they have mental issues.

Why does this judge say "in THE prison". The is a definite article so this would only be correct if the state had only one prison.
