Hi everyone,
Back with another vlog. Bethany gives an update on health and how she's been feeling and cheeky bump shot too. We talk about how we feel this year has been going for us, what we got up to in the October holidays and why we love being open with you guys.
We read out one (of many) beautiful messages that we have received recently and just wanted to say a huge thank you to the person that sent it AND to anyone that takes time to message or comment and connect with us. You are all wonderful people.
Lots of love,
Daniel, Bethany, River & Cove x

Hyram is the best RU-vid channel for skincare stuff. His advice cleared up my husbands acne, even more so than NHS intervention!

I never comment on RU-vid videos but I've been watching you guys for years. I love how honest you both are, it's so comforting to watch. Wishing you all the best and I hope your year improves soon ❤️

I love that comment about keeping it real. I’ve found myself move away from a lot of the channels I used to watch as they are just not relatable anymore, you guys show your real unfiltered life and that is much more interesting!

As someone who's gone through years of difficult skin, I just want to send lots of love! I've tried duac in the past and found it worked, although I still did get spots. In the end I was desperate and went on accutane which is pretty hardcore and can't be taken around pregnancy. Thank you for being open and vulnerable! In a world of instagram filters, it means so much that you're sharing your experience. xxx

Couldn't agree more with that comment the person wrote. Be real. Be authentic. Be yourselves. I love the comment 'Come as you are' and in return being accepted as you are, whatever that is. When people put that into action from both sides a real beautiful community is formed. LUSH 😊🙌🏽 thank you for your videos both. I love them.

DoTERRA skin care is amazing and it doesn’t contain chemicals and it’s made with essential oils. It’s expensive but it lasts soooo long but definitely worth it.

Something that helps a lot with my mild acne and redness is rosehip oil - I was super skeptical about it but it has reduced the redness a lot and is moisturising, however, everyone's skin is different :) I love how honest your videos are and that you don't feel like you have to fake it. You guys are always casual and it's comforting to watch similar people's lives over the years (I remember when River was one and still had the little pink subtitles!)

If you're using products to treat acne make sure they're "balancing" products! Most products aimed at acne prone skin aren't balancing, meaning they strip the oils in your skin which causes your skin to freak out a bit which in turn produces excess oil which could cause more spots! Glad to see you vlogging again Bethany! 😊

Hi Dan, just hopped on and saw your video. I haven’t seen you guys online for a while. You are doing amazing and I love your vlogs for the same reason as the lady highlighted. I find it really hard online with so many bloggers and influencers making life look so perfect or people criticising others. There’s very few people who share their authentic lives and the real struggles. Sorry that Bethany has been having a hard time with health issues. Sending lots of love to you all x

As always, my favourite vloggers ace it with an open and honest vlog. So brave and honest, I hope you feel better asap Bethany. I find Caroline Hirons so useful with skin care, I think there's a Facebook page....I'm useless with skincare but I find her helpful!

Sorry Bethany, I have no skin care routine at all 🙈 so if you could share what you learn and we can go on this journey together! I may have told you before but I used to go to church and fell out of love with it due to things that happened there but I'm still believing that God is blessing you guys so much. Thanks for sharing with us! Hope you all have a lovely Halloween even with no guising 👎 xx

I’ve been using Duac since July alongside anti-acne tablets. My skin has definitely improved, it’s not completely spot free as the face masks I use at work still cause spots round my chin but they are nowhere near as bad or painful. Lots of people have commented on how good & clear my skin has been since I started. I have combination/oily skin, especially round my nose/t zone. Since using Duac, that hasn’t changed much, I have just studied more into cleansers, moisturisers etc that are more suited to my skin. Check and see if you have eczema or possible allergies, you can get creams from your GP for that too. What I would say is that Duac does ruin your clothes like bleach, however you apply it in the evening so you tend to just ruin pyjamas & possibly bedding. A little goes a long way with Duac. Hope this helps. ❤️

Love the vlog guys! Bethany I have a prescription for Duac for my adult acne! Obviously everyone's different but it hasn't dried out my skin :-) I just apply it locally and it seems to be helping x

I have been using duac cream for months now. I has helped me a lot but it has to be kept in the fridge. Must be applied when it is cold :)

I was subscribed Duac when I had bad acne. I would not recommend using it on your chin as any red kind of scabby or open areas will just inflame it even more. I think it’s more for like normal little spots I would recommend watching Hyran on RU-vid and using a product with Niacinimide (probably spelt that wrong) will help with dryness spots, whiteheads texture etc and it a just amazing.

Dr sam bunting a dermatologist on youtube has taught me so much about skincare and acne. She has changed my world! My cystic acne and skin in general is SO much better! A non comedogenic moisturiser is la roche posay toleriane riche which would be a great alternative to the la roche one youre using! I swear by it! Every skincare item should be non comedogenic and fragrance free if you’re acne prone and its just best for skin in general! I also use dr sam’s cleanser and it is the ONLY cleanser I would ever use now! Only got good things in it and its perfect for sensitive and reactive acne prone skin. Retinoids are the best for acne but you cant use them in pregnancy! The next best thing is azaleic acid according to dr sam which you can buy or get prescription. The thing about duac I found is because it is an antibiotic acne cream, when I stopped using it, the acne came back again, so its good for treating it at its worst as long as you then use a long term solution such as retinoids or azaleic etc. Also its good to only put it on the acne for less irritation and also with any acne cream and just in general for your skin its good to use a fragrance free, non comedogenic broad spectrum spf 50 sunscreen. I use altruist, you can get it cheap on amazon and it donates to charity too. Its taken me many years to get to this point thanks to dr sam’s youtube, I knew none of this before haha! Simplicity and basic ingredients are key! I will tag you in a post of mine on my instagram Bethany, its @alicejessiej as its includes my skincare routine that I have learnt to use from her which has transformed my skin! Sending love❤️✨

Also- you need to be prepared to wait 12 weeks to see if an acne product is going to work for you and it can get worse before it gets better due to purging 💫

That sucks Bethany :( I suffer badly with eczema. I've just loved Honest beauty hydrogel which can get in boots or cult beauty. Another range which is great is by Dr Sam Bunting (also worth youtube videos and Instagram). QV gentle wash is brilliant and the parent company of cerave. I have really enjoyed dr jart mist (yellow one), weird smell but its great. Hope it helps, if I can think of anymore I'll send you a message on Insta :)
