This is my parents lol, we say we we're leaving an event of some sort soon and then they get sucked into conversations while me and my siblings wait with our coats on by the door😂

There's a little "life hack" to this. "We got a phonecall, (insert someone was locked out, here), and you were surrounded by guests, so I'm just texting to wish you a happy birthday and apologise for leaving without saying goodbye. Ugh! I can't go to parties anymore, but when I did, it was the whole drama of the hosts and guests going on to you about staying, when you just wanted to go.
