Fun fact the guy you wrote the books wrote them as satire. Then the guy making the movie didn't know the books were satire and thought they were the authors beliefs and wanted to ridicule him so made the movie a satire . The movie is a satire of a satire. I thought this was funny.
and the satire was about the bugs and humanitys trying to fight them like they were more humans the actual stuff the movie directors didnt like heinlien actually did belive its just the movie director literally the summary not the book. like "citizenship for service" which is the model of SOUTH KOREA our DEMOCRATIC ally not yatzi germany like the director said.
I love that movie, so great. The book being what it is makes more sense when you realize he also wrote “a stranger in a strange land”, which is mostly just gross instructions to starting a demonetizable cult.
I've read the book, it's great. Robert A. Heinlein didn't go off the deep end until writing A Stranger in a Strange Land. Before that, he wrote *excellent* juvenile sci-fi. The movie was a loose adaptation at *best.* They didn't even get the ethnicity of the main character right. Kid was supposed to be Filipino.
@@dj11o9er no its not that there bad i agree the universe is fun and good its just when your finally watch the movie director interview for the first movie after reading the books it really SOURS IT like learning the really dark but funny joke someone told you wasnt a joke and was just them being toxic. like seriously the dierector admits he DIDNT READ THE BOOKS just got another person to give him a summary then said "ew thats fash" and directly said he made the movies to insult the fash book and fash author. when no the federation in the books is not conquering evil or fash it literally uses the same model as SOUTH KOREA a real life democratic republic you gotta have 2 years of miltary to service to vote.
