Its Sunday 12th November i find myself on this brilliant Corbett it is a short day out three to four hours up and down but this is a cracker the weather was a mixed bag but no rain so that was a bonus . The views are brilliant all around for this mountain unfortunately i didn't get the views from the top but further down below the cloud made up for it all in it was a fantastic mornings hike.

Nice one Ally, great atmospheric video with the cloud swirling and the brocken spectre. Wise words too for folks starting out. Enjoyed tagging along as always. Take care. Mick.

Thanks mick really enjoyed this one it's quite a quick one but a cracking one for the shorter days, for not getting much views at the top the views lower down were brilliant and to get the spectre topped the day off. ATB Ally 👍

Thanks Pat had a great day on this one was shorter than usual but it was a cracker the weather made for some great views and photos just a wee bit windy but didn't spoil the day. Atb Ally 👍

Hi Ally, really enjoyed that, some cracking shots there mate. I was up the Brack the day before and got sublime conditions, but to be truthful I much preferred your conditions albeit a bit less wind. Very very atmospheric some of the footage which I love. Doesn’t matter if you don’t get views at the top as the views going up and coming down were spectacular. I did this a few years ago with my mate Hen Broon, that was his 1st taster of hiking mountains and he loved it. Tell you what, that Corbett is 10 times better than half the munros I’ve done, some of the hills up that way are belters. I’ll be back up to that one with a winter coating.❄️☃️🏔👍 Well done again Ally👏👏 Superb vid. ATB Frank

Thanks Frank the conditions were just right the wind was getting stronger as the day went on but added to the footage with the cloud getting blown in and up the gullys was great and the spectre topped it off . Its a short one but got everything ,its ideal as close to home and for the shorter days. I can remember your video when you and Dave done it at the bottom with the motorbikes. Been looking to do the brack so hopefully, I will get up over the winter great area for the winter walks close to home and short days. Atb Ally 👍

Hi Ally, that looked a cracking day out. A great looking Corbett that. The full spectre was a nice bonus. Great shot about 7 mins in with the cloud blowing across the top. Can't believe you used the old atmospheric description, always makes me laugh when i hear that 🤣🤣 Your a sparky, me too 😁. Enjoyed that video. ATB Andy

Hi Andy this is a great mountain and a brilliant walk would recommend doing if your looking for a short day with stunning views , had to to get the atmospheric part in 🤣 i was supposed to got up north on sat but had to go in to work to do board changes in the office so thought i would try get one on the Sunday and didn't want to travel to far but was really glad i did as got some great footage sometimes the unplanned days work out better. Cracking walk Ally, what a fantastic wee mountain! Had a similar day to you on this hill, views on the way up and not much at the top! Need to go back at some point. That shot you captured with the cloud whipping over the mountain was amazing! Cracking day and your right about the winter walking! Can change on the flip of a coin. Cheers mate. Paul

Hi Paul for only a 3 to 4 hour walk it had everything was so glad i went as was a sort of last minute but sometimes those are the better days. its a fantastic mountain with amazing views a bit windy but helped with some of the shots with the cloud and the spectre was a cracker timed it just right for that one, think i will be up to do some more corbetts up there over the winter great for the shorter days and close to home. Superb Video Bud....I've done a good chunk of Hills in't Arrochars the Rest is a favourite car camp location of mine I had similar conditions on Ben an Lochain so need to go back to get the views from the Summit....lol ill not be waiting 30 years though....dispite my lack of view it's still my favourite Hill in the area... Hi Andy, thanks again. i had a great time on this mountain it's a cracker and a great one for the short days . Love the Arrochar alps. They're great for the winter as there only an hour from me, so easy to get to . It's one I will definitely be back to do . Waking up at the rest and be thankful must be great on a good day to wake to the views down the glen. Atb Ally 👍

Love this Mountain Ally.Great conditions you got and cracking,strong brockens makes it extra special.The ridge path up is excellent.2 winters in a row,I went up this trying to make a video but the footage wasn't that good.Went up again in summer conditions and made one which is one of my favs.The one just down from it,Binnein an Fhìdhleir has some right steep sections on it and a bit boggy at the start.😃👍

Hi Andy i agree with you it is a cracking mountain and a quick one if your wanting a short day really enjoyed it even with the strong winds but they helped add to the mood blowing the cloud up the gullies thinking of doing some more of the Corbett's round this area over winter so that's good to know about beinn an Fhidhleir . Hi Tam had a great time on this one a short one but sometimes the short ones can be a better day out. I can remember watching the video Tam looked a cold one that day . A lot of good Corbett's in that area good for winter walking as the days are shorter and close to home as a bit of a pain driving in the dark. Missed out this weekend again with the weather being rotten again but hopefully out next weekend fingers crossed . ATB Ally 👍
