My journey hiking and walking the Mountains of Scotland, Munros are over 3000ft and The Corbetts range from 2500ft to 3000ft . Doing reviews on hikinhg equipment. Also adventures in my vw caddy micro camper and videos on the full build of the camper van.
Hi, van looks awesome can I ask how you go about insurance as if it was a panel van and you’ve added windows and a pop top do you have to get specialist insurance or just normal company but declare each modification
Hi thanks for following along i had to move insurance companies as my original one wouldn't insure after i had all the modifications done i managed to get insured with a specialist company in England i declared everything i had done and they have basically had to insure it as a campervan. Adrian flux is the company i am with now hopefully this will help. Atb Ally 👍
What an epic day on Scotland's mountains! The journey to Inverlochlarig and the climb up Stob a' Choin looks really nice. The 360-degree views is breathtaking, even with the lack of paths. Thanks for sharing
Hi thanks for taking time to watch the video, it's a stunning place the drive along the loch is stunning and getting the views of all the mountain tops was brilliant a cracking wee mountain really enjoyed this one. Atb Ally 👍
Well done Ally, always good to take a chance on the weather👍 looked a steep bugger but you were rewarded with the views, car park looked busy and I’ll bet they never got better views from the munros. Good edit Ally👍 ATB Frank
Thanks Frank a great corbett pathless on way up and really steep, but the views were exactly what I wanted to get the 360 views a stunning place and only just over 1 hour . Would have been great to get the drone up, but the wind was too strong but was happy to get dry weather. ATB ALLY 👍 👍
Thanks Brian great to bring back memories, I sure is a steep mountain and pathless on the way up but it's a cracker for getting those views all around was glad I decided to give it a go. Atb Ally 👍
Thanks murchie it's a super mountain and not far to travel with amazing views, I was going to send you a picture when I was up there found a cracking spot to camp just of the top looking down loch voil . I is a steep one but was worth tge climb for the views. ATB ALLY 👍
Hi Alan yip this was a great wee day out on a cracking corbett and not far to travel views are superb of all the mountains in that area was great to get up a more local mountain for a wee change. ATB ALLY 👍
Cracking Ally! I remember how steep that was when I did it with wee paddy in the winter! You had much better weather mate! You don’t half know your mountains ❤! Watching this in the van in a wet soggy mallaig! Hopefully we get some of that weather this weekend 😮. Paul
This we a steep wee bugger Paul and a short route but a hard one , it's a stunning place and can't believe I have been up there more as its not far from home was great to get the 360 views and to see the crainlairch munros from the other side was brilliant . Keeping fingers crossed this weather, let's ups just having a coffee and then set off be with you at lunchtime. Ps Am sitting at the back of the boat away from the rouge waves this time 🤣🤣 ATB Ally 👍
Thanks Kevin glad you enjoyed it's a fantastic corbett but very steep but was worth it for those views a stunning place and only an hour and half from Glasgow. On to the next adventure ATB Ally 👍

Great vlog Ally. 👍 Nice tae see what I missed. It's a steep wee bugger eh... Me and Robin were up there last year hoping tae camp. The clag rolled in & the snow showers. I got soaked, so did ma gear. Ended up just heading hame.
Thanks again Kev that was a wee steep bugger i was shattered that's a bummer you didn't get to camp up there i was going to say on the video there was a couple of cracking camp spots one just of the summit looking down Loch Voil and over to Ben more that would be a cracker if you get the weather. the 360 views all round was brilliant a pity it was windy or would have got the drone up . defo one you should go back for a summit camp. Atb Ally👍
Hi Mick really enjoyed that one not a munro but a cracker and got to see all the munros i have done from the other side. hadn't been up loch voil area for over 20 years and its only over hour from me stunning need to go back in the near future. Atb Ally 👍
Hi Janice that was a steep wee mountain felt worse than on some of the munros but was worth the slog to get the 360 views a stunning place and not to far to travel. Atb Ally 👍
@@Allysmountainwalks6462 Cracking views Ally, well worth the effort. Had considered doing it but too steep for my "old fogey legs"!!!!.🏴🏴👍😎🏴🏴

Brilliant video Ally mate. Looks like a cracking place. Might take a wee wonder down with my son at some point. Is their a car park for the place? Was looking on Google maps and couldn't see anything. ATVB Alan
Hi Alan they built a wee car park i think the wee road in to it is from the Coatbridge side you go over a bridge over the M8 or you can park at the showcase cinema and walk over the flyover bridge over the M8 it takes you on to the cycle track and you can walk along that to the car park area great wee glen spent all my childhood down there. Atb Ally 👍
Kev it's 2 mins from my house great for going walking or cycling spent my childhood down there . Bamboo land was great back in the day it was like a mini jungle 😅 brought back memories going for that wee cycle. Atb Ally 👍
Paul it's a cracking now good wee nature trails all over and got the bike route along the m8 that passes through it aswell great for exploring brings back memories spent my childhood down there like yourself. Atb Ally 👍

Brilliant Ally 😍👍..There super remote those ones..Tough going at times eh?..The bike makes some difference going into the mountains..Hopefully mine is fixed by next week 😁🤞🏻..Enjoyed your explanation of all the surrounding mountains 😁..Great vlog mate. Cheers Robert
Thank murchie these are really remote but the ebike is the business loving it , hopefully you get to the bottom with the issue on yours mate that was a bummer last weekend was a great route aswell. Was trying hard yo remember all the mountains roundabout think I got most them 😅 hopefully get out on a joint adventure soon mate. ATB ALLY 👍
Just found your channel last night and subscribed. Love doing the Munro’s and love Scotland. Love the van don’t have one but it’s a lovely job what you have done with it.
Hi David thanks for subscribing and following along hopefully you will enjoy my videos , the van was a great project from start to finish and now it's great for getting away to the mountains and campsites. Atb Ally 👍
Nice one Ally. No clag either for a change. I missed the voice-over intro this video. I'm looking forward to using my bike for the Cairngorm munros. ATB Andy
Hi Andy went for a different intro this time 😅 definitely get to use the bike in the cairngorms as most of them are quite a bit in. These two are pretty featureless but still has a great day out as the scenery roundabout is great . Atb Ally 👍
Nice one Ally, they certainly are remote those 2, that wee bothy was still getting refurbished when I did them. Wish I had my Ebike when I did them as it’s a fair old cycle. Another 2 in the bag.🏔🏔👍 ATB Frank
Thanks Frank great area up there and was great for the bike in and out , the wee bothy looks great i didn't go in as there were a lot of people in it and around it camping . Glad to get them done as these were on the not so glamorous mountains list to do. Atb Ally👍
Great video Ally. Lovely wide open spaces with those big skies and big rounded remote hills with those endless views. Enjoyed tagging along as always, hope your back gets better soon bud. Atb. Mick.
Thanks Mick the cairngorms are great a bit different to the west coast mountains which tend to be more rugged. Was another great day and been loving using the bike aswell. good a cracking trip coming up next weekend so hopefully weather is good and get a lot of goot footage. Atb Ally 👍
Good stuff ally smashed them two i would have chosen you route there also to make it easier on the way back and your right what a remote place this is peacful as out here for a hike or camp got to add im liking the roof pop top on the van not many of these vans got this on nice mate cheers good stuff getting the drone around the ruins class love old buildings like this mate
Thanks again mate really glad i took the bike as a long way in and out, you get that sense of your the only in the world out there great place. the van has been a dream from the start of the conversion to using most weekends its great just to get home just jump in it and get away. Atb Ally 👍
Stunning video Ally mate. Really enjoyed that. Your right about the walkhighlands. The gpx I downloaded for slioch took me right off the path. Am glad I worked my way back to the path. Well done again. ATVB Alan
Thanks again Alan these ones are quite the way in but an enjoyable day again, the gpx files lately haven't been the best of walk highlands . I would recommend using the bike Alan to get to these as a long walk in and out if not. Atb Ally 👍
Very remote indeed Ally, like you said would be a nightmare in bad conditions without a GPS 😮 a bit of a slog and typical Cairngorms 🏔️ pretty featureless but another two 🏔️🏔️ in the bag 🎒 well done mate atb Brian 👍
Thanks Brian was glad to get these two done as really remote but having the bike helps a lot , always a great day out in the cairngorms stunning place. Definitely a place you need navigation . Looking forward to getting back up as still got more days out in the gorms to come . ATB ALLY 👍
Hi thanks for watching been a brilliant project from start to finish and now it fully converted with pop top roof and everything else its great to get away when ever i want , i would recommend it there great vans. Atb Ally 👍
Cracking Ally! Loved the start and the wee bit of music. Brilliant views. These Munro's feel so far away and when i was there i just wanted to get round them and get back to the bike 😊. Like you i did it in that direction and it was a real slog to the first one 😢😢😢. Cracking wee video again mate and some nice wee tunes! Paul
Thanks Paul yip these are a fare way in glad I biked it as would have added quite a few hours on if walking, glad I done the furtherest away one first, these were classic mountains for that area big rounded grassy hills but still always great to get out. Roll on the dart looking forward to getting there now. ATB ALLY 👍
Great stuff. I remember birling along that track on my bike in the semi darkness and seeing what we thought was a bunch of coos ahead. Turned out to be a bunch of school kids. Thanks for re kindling memories and kudos for doing suck a remote pair of hills on your tod 🤠
Thanks Brian yip these two are quite away in but I really enjoyed the bike ride , you get that feeling there is no one for miles which is great to get some quite time , had another great day out on to the next one. ATB ALLY 👍

Coco 😍 Had this up on the big telly but ma rescues were barking at coco. Cannae watch anything with animals 🙈 Looked a nice place Ally. The van looks the biz. 👌
😅😅 Kev he's the same barks at the telly when other animals are on . It's a brilliant site and they welcome the dogs which makes all the more attractive to go to, a really nice area aswell a bit different from being in the mountains a wee change. 😀 Atb Ally 👍

He's a mad man, typical toy poodle 🐩, he loved the beach got of the lead to tun free , it's a cracking wee site and very dog friendly , a lot of wee walks all round about the site aswell, you could get the tent awning for your van Paul it's just a Rail that goes on to the van would give you a living area fir going to the site's. Atb Ally 👍 👍
Hey Ally. Feels like I'm about to watch a Scotlands Mountains video with your spoken intro's, I like it. Good to see the mountain without all the snow on it. Shame about the weather again but at least it cleared for a bit. Good watch mate. ATB Andy
Lol Andy starting to like doing a wee intro mixes it up a wee bit , was a lot different when you and Paul were up with all the snow and i wouldn't have fancied that bike ride out in the dark😂, i was glad i wait it out just to get the 5 mins was good enough really enjoyed that one a steep wee bugger right enough but still a great day out. roll on the dart Andy canny wait now and dinners on Dave 😂 . Atb Ally 👍👍
Your hiking adventure is a beautiful testament to the freedom and serenity found in nature. It's inspiring to see others heed the call of the wild and embark on their own adventures. Keep exploring and sharing!Liked!
Thank you very much and really glad you enjoyed my latest adventure , i try to get away to the mountains as much as possible as its a great feeling being being out in the open and Scotland's mountains are stunning . hopefully you will keep following along on my adventures. Atb Ally 👍👍
Thanks David really enjoyed this one straight forward up and down , definitely take the bike its a great wee cycle up the glen , Gulvain is pretty much straight up and a wee ridge between the 2 tops would be great on a clear day with fantastic drone shots. Atb Ally 👍

Atb Ally 👍 👍
My 4th bike/hike doing this in it was the one that I finally said, "I need a new bike" as it was falling to bits.🤣🤣 Good steep pull up for this Ally and just a pity ur views weren't the best. Myself and Gabriela walked the Strathfarrar 4 together a few years ago.😃👍
