This walk from Inverlochlarig takes in the two Munros Beinn Tulaichean and Cruach Ardrain. A super weather day which started frosty with a bit of ice about but with very little wind the temperature was very pleasant for the time of year.

Yesterday was a lovely day to be in the hills Charlie. I think that route to Cruach Ardrain is far better than the one from Crianlarich. I was also put yesterday over at Victoria Bridge climbing Stob a' Choire Odhair. Will need to try this Inverlochlarig approach sometime. ATB Derek

Hi Derek, I've always preferred the Inverlochlarig approach to these hills. It also opens possibilities of alternate routes to the other five Munros in the area. Many thanks for watching. Cheers

Brilliant again Charlie.👍 great couple hills with tremendous views, can’t go wrong on a day like that. We were up doing Beinn an Lochain in the Arrochar Alps same day.weather was fantastic on sat.☀️🏔 ATB Frank

Hi Frank, Beinn an Lochain is a cracking hill for that sort of weather day. There wasn't many tops that didn't have stunning views through Sat. Hope we have a few other similar days to come 👍 Take care, Cheers

Hi Charlie, long-time subscriber, first time commenter! I have a question about the ascent up Tulaichean: did you pass a reasonably flat area near the top that would be suitable for a wild camp? It looks that way on the OS map (around the 750m mark?). Thanks! Duncan

Hi Duncan, Yes, after the steeper section there is certainly a reasonable level area that would be ideal for a tent. Even nearer the top there is an area that would possible provide options on wind protection. Hope you have a cracker when it comes around. Cheers

Hello, We've not done a lot of walking in the Pentlands but certainly a great area to have on your doorstep. We have a similar setup with the Lomond hills across in Fife. Cheers

Hi David, Yes, a shorter day yesterday but a terrific area for combining routes on these seven Munros. The three to the west are also worth a walk from the same start point as it's a bit quieter than coming at them from the other side. Cheers

Hi Murdo, That whole area is superb and you have many options of mixing your tops across the seven Munros. The bonus is that its quite close to home and your not driving for hours 👍 Cheers

Done these a few years ago, beautiful views all around and a great hike! Would love to hike with you guys, my friend that I hiked with kind of gave it up and that was my only form of fitness xD
