@@miltonjunior78 about 10 centimetres, you can buy foldable plastic holder made especially for GPS modules, like this: a.aliexpress.com/_eKjw1g Or you can print custom GPS holder to place it right between motors if you don't want to put more stuff on top. Usually, compass is more susceptible to interference, if you have separate GPS and compass modules.
Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, I saw it just now. I recently lost my drone, suddenly the GPS Rescue mode was activated and instead of it coming back to me, it went away. It was using a BN-880; however, I put it over the carbon frame. I screw up my flight. Thanks again and Salute from Brazil.
@@RaynerGS oh, it's a sad story. GPS reliability may depend on many thing like FC software app, correct settings, weather conditions, number of found satellites at the moment. Also it is a good thing to calibrate compass before (literally) every flight right in the field and check right direction of the quad.
@@RaynerGS I believe there are some other settings you want to modify to include rescue settings and disablement or modification of sanity checks. There are some posts that discuss those settings in greater depth
I swapped the Flywoos gps to a BN220 but would like to eventually swap the FC to one with builr in Barometer and compass if any around? Be great to have when needed DJI hands free stability say if you had to scratch your rear oh i meant ear lol
@@mjyanimations1062 I have actually and it is MUCH better although larger. I had to mount it on top of the bn220 thereby adding even more weight. Prob no big deal on a 5 inch though. I'm waiting on different tpu mount for Roma F5 to replace it and out only the bn880. Only a few minutes for sata on first flight of day and few seconds after that
