The entire process of Bel’velths announcement to upcoming release has been exactly how riot should be releasing champions. Solidifying them into the lore and teasing them with shorts and mini spoilers. Can’t remember the last time a champion has had any hype built up for it like Bel’veth has.

I kinda get what they were going for, one of the concepts shown has multiple spurs on the fins which seemed to be lost in the finished design but would've sold the idea that they're for killing a lot more than how the model is in the final one. it's very funny all the same, but would've looked dope with a sharper look to the fin tips

It's so cool how Riot designed this character. At first you see a dark empress with big wings. But then you see that her head is actually her whole body, and the other head is just on top, Which makes the design even more MONSTROUS

I don't think people realize how complex the overall sound production is for this theme... the overall depth and layers used to create something like this takes an absurd amount of skill and time.... To simply create the atmosphere of water without it being submersion, as well as, create something that feels ominous and ever growing is outstanding... Riot's production team whether it be music production or animation is top of the line.

I think one of the most interesting things about Bel'veth's theme is that one of the major elements is the sound of a ship creaking. Considering how much they hinted at her having destroyed a major port city in Shurima, it makes sense.

Riot Games' music department has mastered the art of storytelling through music, and I think horror themes are their best. Fiddlestick's theme is more horrifying, more uneasy. It's chaotic and cruel, just like the being it describes. But this... this is something completely different. There is a sort of epicness in this horror, like it's telling of a glorious creature, encroaching on the listener with everchanging shifts of intensity and conveying feeling of being encircled by a swarm. It has purpose and order, not a mindless being of pure evil.

Remind me to MonsterVerse King Ghidorah theme by Bear McCreary as King Ghidorah is initially thought to be just a mindless invasive extra-terrestrial mega fauna species from the outer space before humanity eventually realize it is no normal animal, it is the monster who have the world-ending power that desire the world to be on their knees, on the new order established by them (King Ghidorah actually want to terraform Earth into his liking)

This theme is absolutely phenomenal. There are so many little rhythmic motifs and layers of sound design texture. It gives a feeling of being inside living, breathing and evolving monster as it slowly moves towards whatever it's next going to consume (presumably Runeterra). Outstanding.

The first minute of the theme and main motif really gives off a Metroid vibe to it, the sense of uneasiness and creepiness you get from wondering around an alien planet in the Metroid games feels very similar here. Then again Kai'sa walking around an alien like landscape of a consumed Runeterran city ain't so different really. Fantastic theme.

I think this sounds more like the theme of Belveth the city, rather than the champion who got its name. First, a pointy, watery sound, signaling what lies beneath the ports of Belveth. The mystery continues, until the void abomination claims the whole city in less than an hour, devouring and consuming all of its inhabitants and turning them into nothing but knowledge and material. My imagination runs wild with this theme. The very beginning I imagine an unknown character wandering around an unknown place, where he gets attacked by something unseen and then is slowly sinking into the depths. Then it cuts to a character that discovers the first guys body sinking, then dives in to help. After the body is on land, the body erupts into some hideous monster prompting a chase around 1:30 in the song. The main character eventually escapes, then they’re exploring a destroyed underground or underwater city. Then around 3:05 the character finally meets the big bad, with its true intentions being revealed throughout the encounter.

This. This is my new favorite champion. Her design is so freaking cool and her lore seems to be going in a good direction. I love the ocean life theme as it make a for very cool monsters. Also, I have Thalassophobia so to me this makes me all the more uneasy. I only pray that her kits holds up.

She's against almost every being in all of Runeterra, even the Watchers, who are Void creatures just as she. However, Bel'Veth actually "hired" Kai'Sa to defeat Watchers, as she can't do it just by herself.
