I'm just glad that they didn't try to remake a comedic version of Fresh Prince because it would be very hard to replicate that. I like that they are making it more of a dramatic version and as someone who watched the original as it aired I'm looking forward to watching this one.

I loove hillary in this ...the Character has developed and I am here for it...she is still a fashionista still, bubbly but the development to being a talented chef, not ignorant, not dumb and reps her culture despite her class is amazing

This is not a spin-off. A spin-off is a show that has a main character that goes off and has their own show later on, such as Cleveland having The Cleveland Show after being on Family Guy first. This is a reboot.

This show is actually very good. I will say though, don't expect comedy, it's a drama but it's great nonetheless, once you accept that it's very enjoyable

soon as I saw this guy on t.v., in the first minute I said "Stop the auditions! That's Will!" So perfect for the gig, even his facial expressions, confidence, swaggar and savvy..... I love Hollywood.

I love how they're talking about the original. It's clear everyone involved with this show is a fan of the sitcom and they're really inspired by it. I've always felt that a good adaptation is one that's faithful to the spirit of the original, and this shows that they're making an effort to that, while also going in the complete opposite direction. So fresh.

All the actresses talked about how their characters stayed the same as the original because female characters are not capable of any personality types except for "smart" "wise" "in charge" stereotypes. Zero creativity or originality involved. Boring generic cardboard cutouts as usual.

@@biggoards2772 I am actually 39 years old and my husband and I watch the original re-runs on a regular basis.The character that is currently playing will Smith looks and sounds like will Smith. I love that this show dives deeper into real issues that a rich young black Carlton and Hillary face.i just really like the contrast of the two shows, but maybe that's just me.

Please! Whoever was in charge you could not get a better Carlton, that thing you got to portray Carlton(Alfonso) is ugly , real Carlton from original sitcom was handsome, witty and professional. This you bring to us funs now is yak yak, disgusting straight from the looks to acting, producers you failed, change that Carlton person and get your viewers back .
