I just stumbled on these figures last night and I feel like a kid on Christmas day. I ordered Wolfman, but I'm going to have to pick up the rest of the Universal Monsters. It's right in my price range.
I enjoy the toy-like quality of these figures as opposed to the 1/6 scale ones. They have a mix of realism and toys a kid would enjoy. Of course, easier on the wallet.
I never knew about the Broadway version. Smart move on Jada's part. I recently bought the others (Bride, Monster, and Creature) for only $9 at various Ross stores.

This figure looks like he did in the second half of the movie. He only wears the red ribbon with medallion up until the opera house scene. After that it's no ribboned medallion and a gray liner cape.
Thanks for pointing that out! His costume for both the Broadway and movie version of "Dracula" must have been very similar. This is no doubt the Broadway version since it includes mini poster replicas, plus there is no Universal Monsters branding on the packaging. I love how Jada Toys was inventive in the way they presented Bela.
@@TimLammersFilms I always thought he wore a purple lined cape on Broadway. They sell model kits and the artwork has a purple liner Honesty, I think this is a hybrid of both mediums. And if I can be more honest, I'm disappointed with the face sculpts; I wish they were different. One with a simple stoic face and the other with a wide lip smile. I hope Jada Toys considers making and selling alternate heads like that.
great review. i just bought this based off this review. a fine salesman you are...lol. i was going to wait to just get the NECA but i like that this is the broadway version. it's cool to have different versions and different sculpts and you can't go wrong with Lugosi's dracula. good work on the video.

This was a really fun review. I have the Jada red-cape dracula so I really liked seeing the Bela, grey cape figure. And the comparison to side show and Retro a gogo are good for context.
