I can think of two very easy things to help new preppers or seasoned veterans such as myself. The first is download the American Prepping Academy app. Secondly an even more important is to subscribe to my channel ha ha ha. Seriously, the American Prepping Academy app and the American Prepping Academy website are great resourcesfor all of those who have not check them out.
I wonder if this is how people felt during the Cuba missile crisis? I alway said there was a 5% chance, I’m now up to near 50% of a nuke going off somewhere (if one goes how many will follow?). Best way to be prepared is to say informed, then use common sense.
I believe that the Cuban Missile Crisis was a little bit hotter. I was a preschooler at the time. I learned who Kruschev was from his portrait photo making strange sounds on the TV news. I was really confused at first, this head on TV making sounds and his lips aren't moving. News was on seemingly all of the time. Jets were coming in to the nearby Air Force base hot, sonic booms abounding.
Young Teen during the Cuban Missle Crisis. I recall being somewhat concerned. Which elevated when I saw my Dad's look of determination. He built an Atomic Bomb Shelter in our basement. Atomic War was survivable in the early 1960s. Nasty though. Dad layed down rules. Sirens sound drop everything get my younger sister and run like hell for our Shelter. All Good Advice JJ. Carry serious EDC medical, survival and Personal Protection whenever possible. Best.
Not as much as I used to. But I also don’t think we will get engaged in a conventional fight in the same way we used to. I think we are shifting away from that in general.
NATO has repeatedly had massive exercises on the Russian border, even had Spanish fighter jets accidentally fly across the border (from Latvia/Estonia) into Russia. In the last few weeks there has been large NATO naval exercises off the coast of Finland blocking Russian shipping. NATO seems to be trying to pick a fight.
Interesting video, I'm reminded of the great depression, in the USA 🇺🇸 from 1929-39 over 17 million Americans starved to death. This was a time that 80%+ lived in the country side, and over 70% were nearly self sufficient. Today nearly a hundred year's later 90%+ live in a big city or it's suburbs, and less than 2% in the countryside are self sufficient. What has almost every despot done besides taking the gun's have done? They've controlled the food, if a disaster of any kind happens to the USA 🇺🇸, inside of a few weeks of such a disaster I would expect it to look like Haiti 🇭🇹 without the BBQ sauce... During the great depression nearly every land critter was hunted nearly into extinction in the USA. Today with so many who can't decide which bathroom to use, any major disaster would be nearly catastrophic. It would then seem important not to disclose to other's that one might be a prepper or during the shortages be labeled as a hoarder. In addition it might come back to bite those who might have been preparing for a disaster to happen. How many friends, relatives, co-workers, etc are aware that you have supplies that they want or need? If a big disaster were to happen, as the cities empty out of the starving hordes looking for resources to take, it's not just emblematic to the city folk. Even those who are flocking to the outer edges seem to not put in a garden or chicken's etc. It would stand to reason that those of us who have done so, would be considered the new grocery store. Ripe for the plucking. How would JJ respond?
I would respond that you must always use discretion and common sense and always be ready to defend your territory. Not just your home but the area that you live.
