Bele Bele - Bumbada women drumming groups Fanga 

For the first time, 2 women’s West African drumming ensembles met to perform at Best Fest ​⁠‪@TouchMotherEarth‬ in New Jersey, Memorial Day weekend 2024. This is an excerpt from the group practicing Fanga that includes three different dun parts, each adding flava. I was recording the video so the lead djembist you see in the video is Tammi Hessen, leader of Bumbada women drummers and also my first ever djembe teacher.
