Cliftonville are the modern day belfast celtic,it use to be distillery before there ground was burnt down . linfield were banned from playing at solitude after the 1971 irish cup final between linfield v Ballymena, as solitude is in the middle of a Catholic area,linfield now play there,but you have to follow strict guidelines to go,you have to go to Windsor park,be a member, and travel by bus,because it's not safe to travel on your own.

won one treble in the 4 years without rangers (embarrassing considering the pay disparity in scotland), moving towards 10 in a row... do you genuinely feel proud of winning consistently in a league you are expected to win year in year out comfortably? considering rangers are going to be massive outsiders until the year they actually win it, even then celtic will be odds on favourites to win the league until the day they can (if they can) match celtics colossal wage bill...5-1 was an embarrassment as was the result in luxembourg, however recent results have proven that the football in luxembourg is not to be taken lightly, and whilst granted the result in the europa league can arguably be considered the worst result in the clubs history, it was a side caught cold who had barely been involved with each other. as for your comment regarding 'theres fuck all left for *us* to do in scottish football', it shows a massive level of disrespect and bias towards your club. both rangers and celtic are clubs steeped in history, both having dominated the game north of the border for as long as the game has existed. but to merely refer to celtic as having achieved all there is to do in the game up there just shows how blind you are. just look at the trophy room at ibrox, which currently holds more silverware than the club you clearly can't look beyond. and before you say 'aye but they died and they've never won anything' you have no excuse to do so. you are never more than a google search away from the truth, just as every footballing body has said and that only celtic fans cannot seem to wrap their heads around. as for the cup semi final, the result was monumental, regardless of the circumstance. the first time the two clubs had met for nearly half a decade, with a side costing a fraction of what liewell was paying out weekly, and they still weren't good enough. also congratulations on going so long unbeaten domestically in a system where you are expected to win every game against bit part teams in a league which is lamented globally for being so poor. the sad fact is that celtic have hit their ceiling. there is nowhere further up for them to go, realistically any time spent in europe is farcical, because you will end up bombing out at the first chance, and even if you are to make the europa league after finishing above a beleaguered anderlecht, a round of 32 elimination from the europa league beckons. rangers fans have experienced the very worst of what it is to follow football. glee and glory spells are much more often temporary than they are permanent, just be sure to prepare yourself my friend, because the run cannot go on forever, which will make it all the sweeter when it ends.

That team were unprepared for German tactics and fell apart emotionally. They thought they could go along playing their normal game, in an outdated formation that offered no threat going forward against modern European tiki-taka sides, sans Neymar, with a sub par player in his role and trying to find Fred as the target man (which had been unsuccessful throughout the tournament). Fred being unable to hold up the ball against physically superior defenders to his accustomed Brazilian domestic league counterparts. Defensively, they were completely unprepared to fill the role of Thiago SIlva, as David Luiz lacks his leadership and tactical awareness, he was asked to fill the role as field general, but was more interested in his famous dashing runs up the pitch as the "modern libero" he seems to believe in his mind he is. Leaving a vast amount of space behind and an inadequate replacement in Fernandinho to fill his spot. The velocity-challenged Dante essentially replaced David Luiz as David Luiz shifted into the Thiago Silva role. The German players were familiar with Dante, who had never impressed at Bayern, and his limits in marking and decision-making, especially in the faster paced European games. With each goal, their response was to further push forward, desperately attempting to recover a goal, leaving more space for the Germans to thread passes between the disjointed lines of their midfield and defense. After the 3rd goal, players looked to Scolari, who had no tactical response, seemingly pulling on his own hair, rubbing his bald head. The coaching staff had no one available, due to suspension or injury, able to spark the team offensively or shore up the back line. Hence, no change had been made to the team and no obvious tactical change in formation in an attempt to stop conceding before half time. The fourth goal and subsequent fifth came so quickly, exposing the same exact disorganization and unwillingness to change their marking to a more man on man system, that again neither the team nor coaching staff had any response. Their zonal system was exposed and not even the players recognized a change had been necessary. Quite possibly, Scolari had never even practiced different marking systems with the team, as he had always been so sure about his marking scheme, which had been torn apart at Chelsea and led to him losing the locker room during his brief stint in the EPL. You could see the desperation in the players body language and the coaches' inability to even attempt to continue barking orders to the players. At half time the game was over. They all knew it. Unlike Scolari's 2002 team, the 2014 team was built around 2 players, the defensive line was held and controlled by Thiago Silva and all creativity and danger had gone through Neymar before his injury. He was unable to foresee or even comprehend that he would lose his 2 key players during the tournament. Loew's plan was to move the ball quickly, hold a high line (with no Neymar, no speed in the attack) and use the willingness of the Brazilian defenders to go forward in order to expose the space behind them and the subpar defending midfielders who would replace them. The further Brazil got behind, the further they pressed up the pitch and the faster the Germans pushed their attacks. Leading up to the Cup Scolari had shown an inability to adapt in game and to offer a Plan B. That would be his undoing, as he had no one creative in the middle of the pitch (he preferred two pitbulls since Neymar was responsible for all creativity), and he left some more gifted center backs, great box-to-box midfielders and more creative attacking players at home, never once calling them in to train with his squad. Goes to show, that as a manager, even a year out of the game can leave a coach a decade behind in in game tactics.

It will never happen, Cliftonville are the team that catholics follow now,a new belfast celtic would need to be successful before catholics from West belfast start supporting them,donegal celtic tried,but failed. Belfast celtic grew out of the area they came from like linfield, distillery, look at Cliftonville before 1969,they did nothing, they had no support, they maybe the oldest football club in Ireland, but that's it. Distillery now play in Lisburn, they were the first club in Ireland to have floodlights, they had a great history until the start of the troubles, you don't see anyone from West belfast supporting them anymore.and they have a better history than Cliftonville.

Yes, there was a lot more going on than stated in the video, good as it is. Referees were allowing serious violent play against Belfast Celtic, without consequence. I.E. allowing other teams to assault players on the park.

No, lots of Irish immigrants have moved to Scotland (including my family and many others). Celtic was formed to raise funds and feed the poor (majorly Irish Catholic) in Glasgow's East End. It then became the club for Irish immigrants in Glasgow (like Hibernian in Edinburgh). Celtic FC and Belfast Celtic were good friends and shared supporters though.

That's because 33% of the Irish immigrants were Ulster protestants, who brought their flutes and drums and attitudes with them. They wanted a team that they could support and chose Rangers. Because they all lived in Govan and had good jobs in the shipyards. Hence the anti catholic signing policy, and hatred. Prior to that both teams and their fans had a very good relationship. Finally the police and judicial system are addressing the issue, begining to anyway. Everyone except the SFA condemns the sectarian poison. Because the SFA are historically guilty of the same behaviour and attitudes.

A large number of Bears are becoming more angry that it's not still 1872. Sectarianism is NOT a two Club/sets of fans issue. It is and always has been a one Club and one set of fans issue. We also lost to Kilmarnock aswell as hearts - Norwich beat Manchester City last week- PSG lost to a lowly team tonight over a season even the best teams will lose games in the league unless you do an invincible never did before season like we did-the latter game we lost ,the league had already been wrapped up the week before and unlike yourselves we had a cup final in a fortnight for a treble treble which we won obviously so really it was meaningless nothing game
