@@user-ys5yv2nz6w I think the Protocol definitely needs tinkering to suit both communities equally but to be honest I see it as a win win for the UK with or without the protocol. The DUP supported the current Protocol if I remember correctly? Maybe I’m wrong? The Protocol has its pros and cons.

I lived in Belfast for 11 years. 8 in the stewartstown road and 3 in Donegall avenue and I found the people of both sides pretty decent bunch. Most people just want to get on with their lives.
That’s because they have to fight for their existence. People from the rest of the world who have never been the Northern Ireland tell the Northern Irish that they should join the RoI. Northern Ireland has never been in the RoI nor do they want to join the RoI. That part of Ireland has been united with Great Britain for over 220 years.
