This is an installation how-to of the Belgard Tandem Modular Block System. Hopefully this provides some insight on how to put it together! The application here is a single-faced retaining wall.
Key tip: when you use a large face, it should be followed by a small face. The medium face can go in-between the sizes.

Could you make a video from how you make the mould of the block to casting and drying. I love the fact that the block has maintained it's perfect shape without the edges chipping off.

Belgard makes these blocks. I'm not sure if they have a video on the creation process. That would be super cool to see though!

nice video, only detail that could be improved upon is to align the back of the structual block with the base course and insert a plastic blocking pin to prevent the wall from sliding forward.. of course depends on the height and load bearing the on wall, nice job allaround, cheers!

While a block like that definitely has its place and looks very nice and gives you lots of creative options, how much per square foot is it different than any other block that’s out there? And when you order 200 ft.² are you ordering 200 ft.² of the face and 200 ft.² of the backer?

I can't remember off the top of my head what cost was, but in the square footage price you would get both face and backer blocks.

Took a week to build the wall. Everything is holding up to date perfectly.

What part of the country are you located? Belgard rep says that backer block isn't available in North Carolina..

This was a project we did in Loudon, TN. Sourced the material from there. Hard to find this stuff cause it's so new, so we feel you!

How do you prevent this type of wall from falling over due to soil pressure from the backside

Can't remember, but it was like a 12"x14"x4" block

how do you do a curve in the wall?

Not sure, as we haven't worked with this product again. Iv'e heard it is able to be curved though, so I'm sure Belgard has info out there on how to do that.

What was the color or the Tandem Wall called? You mentioned using 2 different colors of stones . Thanks
