I had one boy named coffee who would ride on a bike with me. He was my little baby. One of my friends where to scared to hold the others but her was soooooooo sweet that he let her roll him in a blanket and hold him like the worlds cutes burrito!
They are broody on and off and make excellent mothers. The only issue I have had is if they have eggs that are a week apart in hatching time they may neglect the eggs to take care of the chicks and abandon the hatching eggs. They are very attentive mothers! Allowing them to hatch eggs that are only 3-4 days apart from when they were laid (no longer) seems to work best.
@@voiceofmanywaters3720 Hi There, thanks for insight. I would be ok with one full-fledged brooding per season. When there is a chance a hen will go broody, I keep some eggs at hand for hatching, and if the hen does go broody I give her those eggs. I have done this twice in the past with good results.
@@DerafsheKavian Good idea. My Milles seem to go broody when they are already sitting on 3-4 eggs and i like for them to sit on no more than 5:) Happy chickening~
I have some baby chicks I called them mutts because they're mixed can you please please explain how to tell if i have roosters?I am having the hardest time figuring out who is a hen who is a rooster any advice would be very helpful
