What no they arent the reason that the belgian troops fell out of line was because many weren't even military units. We had police and civilians in the parade but the military unit like our trained marine's and our veterans and military dident. And what country are you from ?? Before you judge myn. Unlike your's we reperesent the people not the army in these parades.

As a Belgian, seeing the cadets improve really helps my heart, but jesus christ that camouflage.... And the only ones who knew how to WALK were the veterans and the marines....

The camouflage works quite well in Central Africa where it's supposed to be used. It also works amazing in pine forest, which we have enough of in Belgium. The troops that got deployed in Afghanistan used a tan version of the camo.

I would suggest, although I don't know for certain, the reason that the Band of the Grenadier Guards leads the parade is because the regiment was formed in Bruges in 1656, during Charles ll's exhile on the continent (before he became KIng). It therefore has connections with Belgium.
The Belgian army is the only foreign army allowed to parade in arms in London. This doesn't allow us to bring our marching band. The reason why we can parade bearing weapons is bloody bonds forged in Flanders field. In our country (Belgium), not far from the bloodiest battlefield of WW1, every day since 1918 the "last post" is heard in memories of the British tommies died in the mud of Flanders fields for our common freedom. Only when the parade is in London. The tradition states that the royal household band is taking care of the music on that occasion (and since Belgium is the only foreign army allowed to parade in arms in London... well, no, it's not usual).
As a Belgian I have absolutely no problem with stating this fact: The Belgian military is a fucking joke and this is some supreme cringe right here. Besides a few badass units our "army" is a laughing stock

Because it takes place in London. King George V granted the Belgian army the privilege to parade in arms and uniform every year in remembrance of their fierce resistance against the Germans in 1914. That privilege has been given to no other foreign military.
