The Belgian is an ancient heavy draft horse breed that goes all the way back to Roman times. The Belgian is believed to be another descendant of the "great horse," or battle horse. The Belgian has an easygoing nature. It is used for all kinds of work, such as plowing, logging, and pulling carriages and sleighs. A Belgian horse named Big Jake became famous for his enormous height of 20 hands, 80 in. (203.2 cm), at the withers.
I remember my first pulls working teams and it was always the art of pulling together that was the hardest to master. While frustrating it was always worth it to see them pull once they got synced up. Horses are always the happiest when they’re working, I miss it terribly.
@@suzanneterrey4499exactly I don’t like it when people hit or abuse their horses for anything, I only like the people who use voice commands and and nicer handling.😊
@@shaylawhite6339 I don't like hitting horses either, but remember, they are over 1000lbs. and can kill you. You have to use the "hit" measured, rarely, and timed perfectly or don't use the hit. Usually, there are other means to achieve the same goals.
Good man you can hear in voice how he’s emotionally invested in them he wants them to have a good start and not have one dragging getting injured. To us his voice could sound not so nice but to the buff horses it’s just recognized as instinct reactionary sounds of someone they trust.
It’s pretty common for most horses who really like what they do. They always get super excited before they go lol. It’s really common in barrel racing too, but it can get dangerous if it’s not generally contained.
This may look like abuse as for the way, they are talking but the owners are really just telling the horses to stop and pull or move, and they are perfectly healthy
@@duke_equestrianedits5731bits have been used for CENTURIES, dude. If the horses were in pain... He'd know They'd have let us know CENTURIES ago with a rather strong kick to the chest.
Like the horses is so scared and the mens saying ah oorhhh ALL the freakimg time and the horses dont know if they have to go ore stand bc of this feaking man saying aaaaah oooool hey and he is pulling so much in the rains
I think u dont get it... If you would use your brain a bit, you'd be able to see, that he is only getting louder AFTER the horses start pulling. Beides that... THESE ARE TRAINED HORSES AND THE "oorhhh" as you called it, IS THE COMMAND FOR STAYING IN PLACE. THE HOSES KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. THEY *WANT* TO PULL THE WEIGHTS. furthermore, he does not pull on the straps but instead on the neck block. They are chewing so much because of the adrenaline in their blood... They are bred to do be working animals. These are not your little ponies but a skinny elephant. They function differently than a normal horse.
My personal opinion about this whole thing is it’s abuse. I’m not explaining why because y’all are gonna act like beaches and find any possible way to argue back. So I’m just saying it’s abuse, leaving it there. And if y’all can’t stand me, sit down. I’m not going to argue back I’m just going to tell you why I’m right.
@GiannaLugari-fn2th yeah. They're breathing heavily and they're back and front legs look so strained. They're probably eager to pull it because they'll know it'll be over soon. Horses have a limit when it comes to things even though they are big
