Belgian Malinois Training, with my Belgian Malinois Kai!
Hey everyone, how have you been? I hope you're all doing well! The pandemic situation in my city isn't going to get better any time soon, therefore I couldn't take both of my dogs to public places lately. This video was taken about a week ago, where there weren't many people at the park nearby, so I guessed it's a great idea to record a video to show you guys his progress! Great video. Love that u didn’t cut out the distractions from all the children! How’s Kai at walking on a short leash? Would love to see a vid from you on how you trained Kai to walk nicely on a leash

Thankyou! Yes we're still working on it 😆I would say for short leash walks, Kai didn't pull that hard anymore, we practiced a lot of redirections (when Kai pulls me one way, I'm going to lead him to the opposite way). The process really took so long, but it was worth the time. Right now, we're still working on his concentration on short leash, so I usually bring his tug toy on our walks 😆.

Where did you learn how to teach them like that. I have a German Shepard that I would love to teach. She has all the basics down but I can’t get her to learn the more advanced techniques. I’ve tried using treats, her favorite toy and she just doesn’t get excited. Can you recommend anything that I can do differently or just any tips. Your videos are awesome

Thankyou! Actually our advanced tricks didn't actually start early. We focused on the basic commands when Kai was younger, and I just started teaching him new fun tricks! And if you ask me how I did it, the answer is actually very simple: Food lure! You can teach your dog to roll over, to bow, spin, sit pretty the same way you teach your dog to lie down, heel, etc. If your dog is used to the technique, it's gonna be a lot easier to teach her new tricks (as long as you're being consistent!). And if you want to know in detail, I have several videos about each tricks! Hope this helps!

Amazing! We just got our puppy yesterday, he’ll be 3 months old in a few days. He’s so cute and very active but we’re having a hard time teaching him because he’s always so distracted he wants to just get up and go. Any tips on how to get him to calm down a little and listen? 😅

Hey there! It's completely nornal for a 3 months old puppy to have a short attention span, so keep practicing your recall first. To make him calm down, I would recommend buying him chewing toys to get him busy, and you can also combine it with your crate training so he can learn to settle down inside his crate! 😆🙏 Goodluck with your training!

They so damn easy to train. You done a great job😍. I always own greyhounds and huskys basic commands where done but with a lot of work and time. My malinois pup is not even 5 months yet and he knows "back. Heal. Middle. Stay. Wait. Spin. Sit down paws. Distance commande sit and down. Place. Heal walk sit while i keep walking. Bikejoring. Im teaching him sit pritty and (stand)up this month but he find it hard as he doesnt have the muscle but he try so hard. Jump on my back and down is slowly starting as i dont wanna make him jump. Have ever owned a dog before? Because for me, experience is still number 1. Maligators are super smart, they could learn new commands quickly. They are super active so if you don't drain their energy, they tend to be destructive. So they are quite a difficult breed to handle, but if you're willing to spend much much time to exercise/train them, they will be a good companion!
