We need it, but belgium is a country where there is always someone who works against such large projects, in this case local residents. We will normally get more news next month.
The mooiste stadion is and blijft from standard al the rest is vuil en stinkt vooral die from Kv Oostende marginalen viva standard de Liège we are rouge ultras
Cool thing is that Belgian footbal is evolving. Soon Club Brugge and Charleroi will both get a new bigger and more modern stadion. You should look up the Zebrarena from Charleroi :)
Club Brugge, but we need a new stadium. They are working on it, but belgium is a country where there is always someone who works against such large projects, in this case local residents. We will normally get more news next month.
just like the president of club brugge blocked the Euro Stadium in Brussels where Anderlecht would play, because he didn't get a permit to build a shopping mall.
@@bertcallebert2545 the euro stadium has nothing to do with Club Brugge. Firstly, Anderlecht withdrew itself from the project. And second, they didn't even have the proper permits, so I honestly don't know where you're getting this from.
I thinkh the best is Ghelamco Arena, because is the most modern stadium. And a society as Club Brugge need a new stadium, more modern and with more capacity
@Yannick Excellent they'll finally catch these hooligans who ruin the fun for everyone. And I don't need a stadium collapsing, which will happen if we drag it another 20 years. Old rotten stadiums who are moving when everyone celebrates, old malfunctioning toilets, broken toilets, pitch too far from the stands cuz of running tracks, molded walls & ceilings, roofless stands, no available tickets cuz always fully booked etc.
@Yannick I don't need modernization i need a working toilet and feel safe as in not fearing the roof will collapse on me because of a storm (literally happened in Gent & AZ recently) and a bunch of lowlifes attacking me because I've the "wrong" colour shirt.
@Yannick Don't you understand the stadium of my club is already sold out for 5 years and there's no place for kids of fans I'm barely able to watch my club only at friendlies
@Yannick My club don't own the stadium, the city is owning it and they won't invest Several groups have been blocking a new stadium for over a decade (like "Green", neighbors, politicians etc.) Also like i said I don't need a modern stadium i need a solid new stadium. Ours has been built over half a decade ago, the concrete walls are already expired according to every engineer.
@Yannick Well they did last season. I want atmosphere and be safe, if they can't hold themselves from attacking me without me even looking in their eyes let alone making gestures, then I applaud every added camera.
As a Dutchman I was suprised how small the stadiums of the big clubs are. None over 30,000 capacity, and only 5 stadiums with 20.000 or higher capacity. I thought the Belgian top teams had quite big stadiums. We have stadiums with 55,000, 47,000, 35,000 and 30,205 capacity. And even teams below the top teams like Heerenveen, Utrecht, Groningen, Vitesse and AZ have stadiums that can handle between 20,000 and 30,000 spectators.
Every time someone want's to build a new stadium, other people (residents, people with hidden agendas) block the construction. There would be a new stadium in Brussels where Anderlecht and the national team would play, but construction was cancelled because there was supposed to be a small pedestrian road (wich only exists on paper). But this was enough to cancel construction which costed Brussels the opening game of Euro 2020.
Attendance numbers are not very high in Belguim. since 2016 they are every year less then the year before, and the reason is that the level is also down and almost no big names that are younger then 30 years. So most clubs cant even sell tickets for every seat in a stadium of 8000. Only the big names can do this.
2:29 "You'll Never Work Alone" haha I don't know what to make of that. There is also an ad that says "Remember 2002-03" can anybody from Belgium tell me what is significant about that date?
That's when KV Mechelen went bankrupt and supporters raised money to save the club from disappearing. They were the last Belgian team to win a European cup.
