What a great channel! I miss/ We all miss Johnny, as he was the best and didn't play sides like the late night trash today! he had integrity and class! He always had regular kids on sometimes that had a special talent...not Hollywood actors...

Kind of an odd request, but I would love to see one of Lawrence Welk's appearances. From what I have read he appeared with Johnny four times, and even led the band.
@Stacey Jones I 100% agree with you! Definitely want more full episodes available on DVD. But DVDs are pretty much going out or obsolete or have been for some time now. I really appreciate seeing more performances and interviews and rare footage available finally on the Johnny Carson RU-vid Channel. But I definitely want more full shows, including the musical performances and original commercials, again if possible l. But full shows are nice to see. I'm 36 and love watching this stuff. It's to bad there's no one around like Johnny anymore.
I was 22 when in 88 I love Belinda she made the best MTV videos. Oh how I miss the 80s but how wonderful to get on RU-vid and travel back to memory lane. Love Johnny

I think it was all that coke she was snorting that gave her all that integrity and class. You don't know her like that to make those assumptions. If you enjoy her music then praise that. She's a singer.
This takes me back to a time when our love was young, my wife passed from covid and its disappointing that we can look back but we can't go back. The 80s were the best.

Belinda's "Runaway Horses" (3rd album or CD from late 1989) is a must have!! The late George Harrison (The Beatles) plays guitar on "Leave A Light On"!!
How that album was shunned by the Grammy Awards proves those award shows are a farce. That album I believe is one of the greatest pop rock records ever recorded
This woman is just the most adorable to look at and listen to. I fell in love with her music before I realised what she looked like (Heaven on Earth & Runaway Horses albums initially), and then obviously was bowled over by her looks too. After 6 failed attempts I did eventually get to meet her in person, to my disappointment I found it pretty difficult to say much, but at least I did meet her briefly.
@@joydarling314 It was alot more recently than this video in 2004, so obviously she was older but still nice, not like in this video though. I was lucky because there were only 5 or 6 people waiting behind after the gig, previously there had been alot more and I couldn't get a look in at all.
@@joydarling314 As a rough guess i'd say around 5 foot 4 to 5 foot 6 inches, but it's just a guess from how tall I remember her being when in her presence. She was a similar height to my sister, maybe slightly taller but I don't remember if she wore high heels or not.
Usually when I watch a Belinda Carlisle performance my eyes are glued on her - for obvious reasons! But this time I found my gaze drifting frequently across to the guitar player. He is very good. He has a great sense of time and rhythm and control over his playing. The solo is imaginative and very melodic - much better than the original. Compare this with the same song performed on the Runaway Horses Tour - no comparison! Well done Mr Rick Boston - you are clearly a cut above the regular back up guitarist. I wish you had also been hired on the Runaway Horses Tour.

@@melcrose Thank you for this information. I didn't know about performances with songs MAD ABOUT YOU, HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH and SUMMER RAIN. While the rest of the performances are known to me from before, from some of the You Tube channels. Of course, the recordings are of catastrophically poor quality. As if VHS survived the hydrogen bomb test! You made a few mistakes: the songs I GET WEAK and CIRCLE IN THE SAND could not have been performed in May 1987 because the album went on sale in October of the same year. Which I guess means those songs weren't even in pre-production at the time? This performance with CIRCLE IN THE SAND was realized on June 16, 1988. That's what it says in the description of this recording. She didn't sing the song I GET WEAK 100% in the same show, because she was dressed completely differently, like completely different guests in the studio! So the information is wrong, de facto. It is possible that when she sang I GET WEAK she also sang CIRCLE IN THE SAND, but as part of this guest appearance in 1987, there is no chance! I think that video still exists on You Tube. You probably permuted, it is possible that she sang HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH and after the interview I GET WEAK (or in reverse order?) Find it and see for yourself. Hello. No need to thank that Johnny, because he's not alive. I don't know why no one thanked me, because I personally requested this footage?! I have left requests countless times on all the other recordings posted up to that point. As a sign of support, I got one or two likes each. And when I was disappointed, and wrote it in the comment, they finally reacted and posted this video. The very next day. I went on and on asking for her other performances, but of course they wouldn't think of putting them up. If the other fans demanded those recordings instead of constantly writing nonsense about how they were in love with her, how she has the most beautiful voice, and a bunch of pathetic comments, maybe the editor of this channel would react. So you're hoping for nothing if you think we'll be seeing them anytime soon... Best regards.

What a voice & talent, & she sounds just as amazing live, as on her records! She's beautiful & classy, & she never objectified herself, to sell records, because she didn't need to because she's a true talent, and one of the most stunningly, beautiful women in the world, and I respect that she's not like the musicians that started stripping, to sell records! She's one in 1 million, and this was a glorious time in music, when music was about music and feel good vibes, not all of this filthy and scandalous criminal activity that was ushered in, in the late 90s and is pervasive, today! Even the ones talented Mariah Carey, sold out and started looking like a stripper, which started during butterfly and continues on, ad nauseam! These musicians should take a page out of Belinda's book! She still just as amazing, live, today, and just as beautiful, and she can still sing, wonder of wonders! She is still in her heyday!
