hi love your videos. does Belize has beautiful beaches to get into the ocean? which resort is the luxury resort in Belize to stay with a beautiful beach with clear water. Please share. I found your info about Roatan too. What is your thoughts on Kimpton resort - Roatan west bay? The beach seem beautiful but narrow so trying to decide which Caribbean island my husband and I should visit. We have been to Anguilla and spoiled.
We stayed at the Alaia Belize because we are Marriott platinum members and got all sorts of free upgrades. Most resorts in Belize have great beaches that are cared for daily, so look for the best resort for your budget. We preferred Roatan to Belize because it was cheaper, the beaches were cleaner, and it was less touristy when we were there. We were looking to relax and enjoy the area not party day and night so for us, Roatan was the winner. We not familiar with the Kimpton in West Bay but most of the resorts in West Bay are top notch with the best beaches and amenities. Good luck! - Jenny and Lance
How easy and affordable is it staying on Ambergris Caye to travel to the mainland to do a cave tour, ruins tour and off road trip? Or would you recommend not staying on the Caye if we are looking to do a those things?
Absolutely! We never felt unsafe anywhere around San Pedro. Locals are friendly and there is plenty of security and police all over town.North or South of the downtown area is a little quieter but still has plenty of activities and restaurants. We preferred just a little North of the bridge as there was plenty of restaurants but also a nice area. - Jenny and Lance
The alaia sucks I'm staying here now and it's the worst place I've ever stayed. The food is horrid and the service sucks. Would not encourage anyone to stay here
