This tasty snack brings back so many good childhood memories. My mom would always have a batch of these baked up for my sister and I when we got home from school.
Didn’t have nutmeg so I doubled to cinnamon, used butter because I didn’t have margarine, and used raisins. And it came out wonderful!🎉 Thank you these are so good
I recently tried your recipe and it was on point. The only difference was that I doubled the recipe because we all love a good powda bun with coffee. Thanks so much. Xoxo all the way from Cayo.
When you added the brown sugar to the flour, I knew I was going to have to make these! I can't wait to share your little Channel with my subscribers! Thank you for these Tasty Recipes that are so simple even I can make them!
Hi Shirani, it's a rainy day so I decided to make this. I didn't have coconut which I love so I used cranberries. Delicious with dutch cheese. Thank you.
Hey @shirani i made this powder bun couple minutes ago and it was really really good. The coconut was a twist to me but it complimented the buns perfectly.
I know, a lot of people say they have never seen it made with coconut. That's just the way my mom always made it. I have never tried it with raisins. Next time I make it I'll try it that way 😊.
Omg I just made these and they came out perfect, I added 1 tbsp of ginger because my mom would always make them with ginger and it was soo good. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe ☺️
Love these! I had never tried powder bun before so decided to make them using your recipe. They taste delicious and are simple and quick to make. Thank you!
Shirani my powder bun came out great. I love your style in teaching. I posted it on Instagram & my friends said it looked great. I must say it tasted great. Thank you 😘
Aww, thank you very much Tisha and you're so welcome! That's wonderful to hear. I'm so glad you liked it. If you don't mind can you tag me on Instagram so I can see your powder bun 😊💕.
Hi Shirani, used your recipe tonight and love the turn out. They are indeed crispy on the outside and soft inside...the coconut powder is a must 💗💗 my mom uses it all the time as well
Looks great and easy. I'm going to try these as holiday cookies, maybe sprinkle some red and green sprinkles. Thank you, and I love the music you play in the background.
Thank you for sharing the recipe. I used your recipe today and they came out perfect. I eliminated the coconut, because I never had Powder Bun with coconut. I prefer them with raisins or plain. I will definitely be using this recipe in the future.
Just stumbled on your RU-vid channel. It’s amazing, fantastic. Just make this powder bun. Everyone wants me to make a second batch. It is so delicious 😋 just subscribed to your channel. God bless you and thanks for sharing.❤️
Aww, thank you Sharon! I'm so glad you found my channel. That makes me so happy to hear everyone likes the powder bun. Now you're in trouble, you'll have to make them all the time 😊. Much love to you ❤.
Everything you do seems so easy girl. I've never tried it with coconut flakes before. Do you think I can substitute with coconut milk powder? I just love your videos girl! :D
Aww, thank you so much, that means a lot 🙏❤. No I don't think coconut milk powder would be the same. You can make it without it or you can add raisins. Someone said they added dried cranberries and it was good.
Hi Andra, you can try it but from past experience when I substituted butter for margarine I didn't have the same results. Butter made things spread out but margarine held it's shape.
Hi Shanta, this is the only way I have made this recipe. I have never tried it without the coconut. I don't think you need to adjust the ingredients if you don't want to add coconut. If it ends up being too sticky to press out just use a spoon to spread it out.
