Liverpool Cathedral have the highest and heaviest ring of bells hung for English change ringing. They are not easy to hear in the ringing chamber but are definetly worth visiting at least once. Recored at practice night 24th September 2022.
12 bells 82-0-11 in Ab

It's tragic that the tower acoustics are shocking. Nothing that can't be solved with loads of money.

@@georgebasford1999 ithink it needs a lowing ceiling plus insulation, the sound just bounces everywhere. I would also LOVE to see Great George hung for Ringing ,what a fantastic bell

@@georgebasford1999 A pity. The bell chamber is just too big. Could be improved with accoustic screening.

I would love to ring here I'm surprised you can ring the tenor on your own but it takes massive strength and balance like surfing a 10ft wave and years off experienced like Exeter Cathedrals tenor St Pauls Cathedrals 61cwt in Bb tenor Yorkminsters 59cwt in Bb tenor and St Buryans 37cwt in C# tenor

We have an old Church of England parish down the street from us. Every Monday night they ring the bells in this random way. No melody. Just this noise that goes on for over an hour… 😡

Move house. The church was there long before. All the best with that

@@daffyfromuk wouldn't mind if it was some sort of melody, but it's just random banging.. It's like school children having a go at the drums.

Why are you watching videos of bellringing if you don't like it
@domtomas1178
@domtomas1178 Год назад
@@emma12345890 was trying to figure out why they a dining them on a Monday night (I can understand Sunday morning) and to see if other churches just ring them at all at once at random, no melody or anything. Even a single bell is so much nicer and not annoying.

@michaelwoolley7034 Год назад
@@domtomas1178if they do it on a Monday, it's practice to do it better on a Sunday, which should be obvious to anyone who gives it a moment of thought unless they're stupid Bellringers music is not random, it has a melody according to principles you're ignorant of, that's all
