Long term review: I love the looks of the helmet, the sweat guide, ventilation, MIPS, visor adjustment system, and the interior liner. The only drawback is the turn dial for the fit system. At least here in Florida the rubber material ends up "melting", parts of it on the inside of the turn-dial "cage", eventually making it very difficult to turn. I wish Bell would use a better rubber or just leave it as a full plastic kn
does this helmet rear knob lower down towards back of neck? like a kask helmet does and does not ever shift on my noggin. i have owned bell, fox, giro helmets in the past and kask fits me best.
I actually haven't tried Kask. You can adjust the harness lower down on the back of your head on these. I've been really happy with my Super DH, and I know Doug likes this one quite a bit. Dan at Fanatik
I personally am a fan of Bell's styling and fit, but both helmets are of utmost quality. I imagine you'll be happy with either. Cheers - Dan at Fanatik
if you wanna see how well this helmet works come check out my crash i will admit the helmets toast since ive had a couple good head impacts with it. overall best helmet ive worn il be buying it again
Good to know, I've only ever used it as a light mount. When you say it's garbage, is that because the camera jiggled around on it? Thanks for watching! Dan at Fanatik
Fanatik Bike Co. Hi! No the problem for me has been that the camera mount (and camera) will come loose very easily from the helmet. Not so fun to loose your expensive Gopro in the forest. Great review by the way!
@@novideosnovideos544 Thanks! Hmm, that's good to know. I didn't experience that with my light, but that was also on the Super DH (same design, but still a different helmet), and a light is not as heavy as the camera. Thanks for the feedback!
Love my Bell Sixer more; I used a tie wrap to stop Gopro mount release mech move so much, its seems OK with Gopro camera with mod but only used twice so far 🚲🦽🚲
Hahaha, we noticed after the video that for much of the beginning part Doug's is in fact cockeyed. Less likely than on other, non-indexed helmets though. Cheers, Dan at Fanatik
