Miss my horses and riding. Miss my husband. He was the last of the dying breed too. 20 years in the military and 17 in law enforcement. In my book he was a true man. It's been 10 years but I can still feel his arms. Still wake up n look for him beside me. Takes me a minute to see reality.
Howard & David Bellamy are the best people there could ever be. I worked road crew for them 1985-86. They treated me like a little brother. Can't say enough good about them.
john rabe , they are to busy with their iPads to understand the work involved to learn & play great music. Today it has to be easy. They can't appreciate beautiful music & never will. Talent is out there, but will never be developed. Today's world.
Ya I one of those I'm 77 come The 25 of may .I use to go ride in the mountains of Utah with friends I miss the freedom of back then camp fire and the stars above you .For the simple life.😭
No matter what song they've ever done, they are evidence of the impact of where you come from running deep. Unquestionably country, with salt water touching every chord. And they were doing it back when country music refused to consider Buffet anything but a hippie. Funny how things change, even though none of them really did. 🥰💜✌️💜🥰💞🎶🎤💕
Cant thank you boys enough for this fantastic tune Been Runnin cattle all my days with my brother down the road from you boys in Idaho and cancer is killin me slow so now its up to our brood to keep the traditional trend going and this song is so fittin thank you boys! This is our life... my wife and I love this record. I went out to Dublin, GA, to see 'em in '16... wife stayed home 'cause we had grandkids, plus she's not a HUGE Howard and David fan... They did this song... I hadn't heard it, didn't know they had a "new" album out. When I got home, we listened to this song... and slow danced... and everytime since, when I play this, we get together and dance... We went together to see 'em in Bremen, GA, in '17... and danced in the aisle to this... They'll be back at Mill Town Music Hall in Bremen in November, and we'll go see 'em again.
Wow!!!! Thank you and God bless you Howard And David, I grew up in the 1970s and 80s working on cattle ranches in the great state of Texas, your beautiful music was always on the radio. To hear this awesome new single just takes me back to a time in our country long forgotten. Wish you guys the best, hope you will release a new complete album, long past over due. I was amazed you still sound like its 1978 again. Thanks.
Just saw them at the Clay County Fair in Florida. They were Awesome! Didn't know this song The Dying Breed but I love it. Today you could tell they, like the rest of us, have gotten older but you couldn't tell it by their performance. They sang for almost 2 hours with a very little conversation in between. What a treat in today's world. Thank You
"Bellamy Brothers-Dyin' Breed" I like the slow dance With a young thing To an old melody A full figured woman Who can really hold against me And when I drink a little beer My words don’t always come out PC Brother, you and me Are the last of a dying breed I like to ride my horse To the pasture And just look at the cows And may be roll one up In the saddle And just mellow out Sometimes I sit on a barstool And lie to them, barmaids till 3 Brother, you and me Are the last of a dying breed They don’t make em like us anymore Not like they did before Still country down to the core Just two old dinosaurs I love them ol’western movies With a two fisted story And I still get a lump in my throat When they wave ol’Glory A two inch steak And a cheap cigar is my creed Brother, you and me Are the last of dying breed They don’t make em like us anymore Not like they did before Still country down to the core Just two old dinosaurs Now if we make it to heaven Those honkytonk angels will sing Brother, you and me We’re the last of dying breed Brother, you and me We’re the last of dying breed
Fellas i thought i had kept up with y'all since i was a kid in the 70's, but somehow this song slipped by me until this Independence day 2024. All i can say is I'm glad i found it this day its funny i told an old buddy three days ago thatbwe are a drying breed.
