After many years, Belle passes away, leaving Rumple to rely on memories of the strength of their eternal love. (From Once upon A Time Season 7, Episode 4). Subscribe: goo.gl/mo7HqT
Clariza Mae Sevilla she is the one that always brought light to his dark life.... i m happy that after all she has suffered, she got to live her dream of founding a family with the man/beast she loved... belle, the book-worm, what a wonderful character!
"I know a longer life isn't all its cracked up to be. You just get tired. Tired of everything around you turning to dust. In the end, all that's certain is that you end up alone."
Belle had one of the best happy endings of this show ... She wasn't my favorite character but she definitely deserved this great last episode ... This episode was so much better than Emma's last episode !
I hate when someone falls in love with someone but they are immortal. the soul mate ages and dies while the immortal stays the same and is alone as their soul mate is gone, and even his/her children as they too will grow old and die without him/her :'( it tears me apart. this is a reason why I think people shouldn't seek immortality and have loved ones.
I always wanted the mortal lover to reincarnate. Like the immortal and mortal lovers souls were connected, so to balance out their death the universe sent the mortal back down over and over. And the immortal can recognize their soul, having the chance to fall in love all over again. Knowing that even if they die, the immortal won’t have to wait too long for their love to find them again. That’s how I choose the look at it.
They were the definition of soul mates. Belle was a real one she gave her king the strength to carry on after her passing and she went into the unknown bravely. A man can only hope to be so lucky to find that other half
No matter how many mistakes you make, how many times you fall, despite your weaknesses, despite your fears, Rumbelle showed us that love can transcend all that. That you really can be loved with flaws and all.
Even years later Belle would still have a purifying effect on Rumple. He gave up the chance to be free of the darkness to keep Alice from suffering this pain. THAT is love.
He knew the pain immortality is. If you're alone, your heart can't hurt. But when you love, that's when you open your heart to suffering a wound you will have to carry forever.
I honestly believe this is the best ending for their love story for right now. I love Rumbelle and I did enjoy their story, through the good times and the bad times. But I honestly believe, this result with Belle passing away, will make a really good ending for Rumple's character. Him giving up his immortality and passing away as well, reuniting with Belle and getting his true happy ending with her to end his character and give Robby an amazing exit on the show. Belle was an amazing character on the show and she will be missed~
I presume Bobby is Robert Carlyle (Rumple) - but I've not heard someone call him Bobby before! He's an astonishing actor, I don't want to see him leave.
@Ryan and Adam Yeah, accidently called him Bobby instead of Robby. lol Well considering some of the characters like Regina and Rumple feel more like supporting characters to Henry. I don't feel Rumple doesn't have a big part anymore.
Yep. Didn't really care much about Emma and Hook or Snow and Charming since whenever they faced any trouble there was always some magical shenanigan to get them back together safely. Meanwhile Belle literally dies here and Rumple doesn't cheapen it by using bullshit magic to restore her youth/life, after they both spend a lifetime together so it's extra bittersweet...
I finished watching season 6 today and like the ending was just so perfect, it was literally called "The final battle", I don't understand why season 7 had to happen (other than milking the money cow)
The fact that she fell off the lader and Rumple caught her just like he did in his castle when she fell trying to open the window when they first met made me cry
Now I'm a teary mess. 46 year old man here, told my hubby "if my last words on this earth to you are not I love you, know this, it is only that I ran out of time."
They are literally also Carl and Ellie, as the writers had decided (not kidding). And if in the original movie, Ellie suffered from a miscarriage, in OUAT, Belle/Ellie had Gideon.
That is 100% intentional. Carl/Ellie's house: vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/disney/images/0/07/Up-disneyscreencaps.com-267.jpg Rumple/Belle's house: vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/disney/images/8/81/Once_Upon_a_Time__-7x04-__Beauty_-_House.jpg
This was the most heart breaking scene in the whole show. We've seen rumbelle have their ups and downs but they always pulled through. Now I can go back to rumple and Belle moments and appicit them more because I now know they'll get the happy ending they both deserve with each other. And I hope rumple finds his way back to Belle even if it means he will have to die. I'll be sad to lose my favorite character but I'll be happy he's found his way back to his true love's arms. I'll miss rumbelle. RIP Belle 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I was legit depressed for a whole week. Like no joke my family was actually concerned for me and never left my side. Of course I didn't do anything rash it was just a tv show but I was just so heartbroken that literally just cried and was very sad. These two were there from the start of the show.
I said the same thing as well. The music during their montage of her growing older sounded very much like the music in the beginning of Up and i kept screaming "don't do this to me Disney. You did it with Up... Don't do it again."
I like what they did with rumbelle a lot better than with captain swan. We know they lived a long and happy life together and will be reunited in the afterlife, but with cs they got barely one scene together and then left. I’m honestly glad I’m a hardcore rumbelle shipper because if I had dedicated all this time watching this show to CS, I would have been pissed with the short ending they got.
Jennifer took away those chances to make their story last.. Thats why Im waiting for some MOVIE showing their life together and kids and mabye one little adventure. We need ONCE MOVIE to move on. Bc Im so dissapointed with s7 that I need that movie. I want to see Regina happiness and for example Snow and Charmin seven children bc why not.😁😁😁 I could write some script.😁
Let me tell you a story dear. Once upon a time, there was a beast who took a girl prisioner, and he fell in love with her and then he let her go and that is when the girl realized she loved him too. He thought he would never see her. But in the end, she came back to him, more than a few times. I remember that story. See, let me go once before and we found our way back to each other. You are a good man Rumple, your heart is pure, you will find the answer you need to get rid of the dagger and you will find your way back to be reunited, I promise.
That is the intention to be Alyssha said - also their house is almost identical to Carl and Ellie’s in the Pixar movie, and in the compilation earlier this episode when they move in together and love their lives, the soundtrack is taken from a very similar scene it up. And the part where Gideon leaves I’m pretty sure is played at the same time Ellie realises she can’t have children
R.I.P BELLE We will miss u dearly But we are glad u got your happy ending in the end U had your son & your life with rumple & we know they'll meet again someday #RUMBELLEFOREVER 💘💖💜💙
Colby Cruz I will be sad to see Rumple die, but if it means being with Belle and Baelfire again, I'll be okay with it.I wish I could believe that he'll just pass on the Dagger to the Guardian and then grow old and pass away peacefully, but I doubt that's what will happen.
Belle is your classic Disney Princess, showing us that there is more than being the bad ass type of female character to empower women. She was smart and courageous and not afraid to face the villains even though she knows she's weak as a person, she was still able to go toe to toe with some of the shows Villains.
I think this scene right here showed more than any other scene how much rumple really loved Belle. Belle was his life, his reason for living, the only reason he might've even considered giving up his power is for Belle. I think in this scene he's kind of back to original rumple before power. Even with all the power he had he still couldn't save Belle or make her young again, and by letting her die he showed that he truly loved her more than being the dark one. Amazing and powerful scene by both actors.
*_I know this scene is really sad, but they got their happy ending. Death is a natural thing, and that's what makes Rumbelle so beautiful. Belle lived her life to the fullest and died of old age, with the person she loves. That is such a happy ending...and since there's quite clearly an afterlife in this show, they will find each other again one day._*
Belle was the only one who ever saw the man behind the beast that Rumple was. This series was something else. Made me feel some type of way. All my favorite fairy tale characters in one show. I will miss it for sure. Never wanted it to end.
Once upon a time there was a beast who took a girl prisoner and then he let her go because he loved her and that's when she realized she loved him too... Or something but it was really sweet
The fact that they lives their lives out of StoryBrooke shows how happy they've become and no longer want to be apart of the drama. They weren't even in the last scene because they lives their Happy lives 😖💕💕
This acting, this episode was so perfect with them, I cried so much. Beautifully written, fantastic acting (which they always are fantastic actors but this episode hit home)
These two are such phenomenal actors with how much work they put in these characters. You can really feel rumples heartbreak as belle leaves and with how she tells him that things will still be alright even after she leaves is just as painful but in the best possible way
This is the ending I always hoped for for them: finally, just being happy with a simple life together. I hope Rumple can rejoin her someday, having kept the faith and staying true to the good man she helped him become.
@amanda kenya That isn't the issue though. The issue is that for six seasons the entire show was dedicated to Emma so the fact that she never got a proper send off is obviously annoying. I agree with the others in this thread, nobody mentioned Regina CHILL. People are just upset that a much loved character did not get the ending she deserved. I want Emma to be happy obviously but I also wanted her to leave with a bang not a whimper, which was basically what happened in season 7.
Me reading comments if people crying over these scene "pfff not even sad" then the music and the flashbacks come in : *me rolling and crying like a baby*
It’s amazing how he makes rumple so villainous and evil, yet a perfectly lovable imperfect man. I think rumple is supposed to represent humanity- the internal fight we have between good and evil, overcoming our dark side, and finding the light we have within.
@@476233 That's true...but not everyone finds the light. Robert shows Rumpelstiltskin less as a beast and much more as a lonely, sad and also vulnerable man. On the one hand he longs for love, on the other hand he knows that it makes him weak and vulnerable. It's great how Robert can express this primarily through his facial expressions and voice. A critic once called him one of the best actors of his generation, and that's the truth.
Wait, why would Rumple be afraid of letting Belle die? We've seen them go into the Underworld, he knows that there's an Afterlife where he'll be reunited with her.
WhiteRaven696 underworld is for people with unfinished business though. Belle lived out her life the way she intended to. Shes beyond that point. Rumple is probably sad because now he has to overcome the darkness alone (not in spirit of course) but physically. It his next step into getting rid of the dagger for good. Hes afraid he won't be able to find the answer
I'm not talking about Underbrooke, I'm talking about Olympus, which is also part of the Underworld and the Afterlife and is surely where Belle will end up waiting for him.
Of what I remember of him... it doesn't matter that there a confirm afterlife etc. It's about his nature... he has the tendency to doubt that things will go well for him so he seeks to control everything. That's what cause him to become the dark one in the first place.
I actually cried during this scene, belle throughout the entire series was such a key character you never expected her to die but it really made t impactful
Ever since I was three and saw "Beauty and the Beast" for the first time, I have seen myself as Belle. The girl who read voraciously, the girl who was brave enough to become a prisoner in exchange for her father's freedom. She was my favorite character on OUAT and Rumbelle was my OTP. I never cared that much for shipping honestly, but I couldn't resist. I never gave up on Rumbelle; giving up on Belle having true love was like giving up on me finding true love. When something happened to her on OUAT, it was like it was happening to me, so watching this was almost like watching myself die and not just a favorite character. Fun fact: one's favorite character is often a reflection of who that person truly is. Belle was no surprise to me. 🙂
I went to rewatch OUAT and found this video on youtube. I must say, Belle and Rumple's story is the most bumpiest among all the couples in OUAT. Seeing Belle die made me cry a ton, I really love their story full of trust, betrayal, truth, and lies.
Season 7 was an atrocity. However... they... got I have no words for how much I love these two. How much I adore their story... I loved their conclusion. It made me cry so much but it was so beautiful.
If I was Emile here, I would be waaaay too tempted to do a "BOO!" at him when he thought I was dead. I bet that's one of the hardest things for actors/actresses to really do is stay expressionless during death scenes. I wouldn't be able to do it.
Pretty weird for Belle to call Rumple a good man despite all the awful junk he's done over the show. I mean he's not 100% evil to the core, but he's sure not a good man.
He, after living with Belle all of those years and resisting the dagger, transformed into a "good man". This series is all about redemption, second chances and the power of love. I really liked how the 'sped up time' of their relationship truly gave Rumple time to change.
I like to believe that bell and rumble love might be more true than snow's and charming's They had their hiccups their highs and downs their ups and lows but what relationship doesn't
This is a very sad, but everyone is forgetting one MAJOR thing. Rumple CHOSE to be the Dark One again. He tricked Hook and Emma in to doing so. While this sad and touching, I can't forget that.
